Yesterday I received my new Arcam IRDAC and unpacked with much anticipation: The unit makes a solid and high quality impression. After connecting (via USB to the PC), however, makes sobering wide: Each manual advance or go back in the playlist or a track within the machine are clicky noises. Apparently, the entrance is on every short interruption of the digital data stream off ("click") .The LED of the corresponding input changes to red. Since it's only a song is further bound, is the entrance immediately reactivated ("click") and the LED changes back to green. And so on. The same happens also when pressing Stop / Pause and Play. Which development engineer comes to such an idea? In the hi-fi "trade press" is something of course not mentioned, but of great joy, spatial presence or powerful bass geschwurbelt. You know what I mean. The IRDAC will in any case being returned to sender and do my good old DacMagic must continue service. Too bad.
