The Fortunes emerged in mid-sixties Britain With Their debut single, Caroline, Which failed to chart but what ADOPTED as the theme song of the famous pirate radio station Radio Caroline. This gave them plenty of publicity and went on to have five They UK chart hits, four of Which made the top ten. Of These, the one best remembered for is They are You've got your troubles, their biggest hit. It peaked at number two in Britain and made the top ten in America. The follow-up, Here it comes again, made the top five in Britain and the top thirty in America. Following two thesis, Their next single, This Golden Ring, was a comparative disappointment, failing to reach the UK Top Ten and being only a minor American hit. Worse what to follow, as theywere unable to chart again for a few years. Changes of label Eventually yielded more hits, thesis being That Same Old Feeling (a minor US hit, in direct competition with the original by Pickettywitch), Here comes that rainy day feeling again (USA Top Twenty), Freedom Come Freedom Go (UK top TEN, a minor US hit) and Storm in a teacup (UK top ten hit). So ended the career chart of the Fortunes. This compilation contains all hits thesis together with all the intermediate singles failed.
