About the technology:
Applying a special 5-Kant-Allen variant. If the seat to be adjusted or removed, you need the supplied key, which engages only correct if a built-in key with screw is screwed into the fuse. However, once you have this key, you can bypass traditional security of this type ...
This requires a clamping ring for the seat post, which is designed for quick release for this gland due to the form. But since I only had a "normal" seat clamp on my bike, I had to buy more this addition. In true sense this is therefore not a quick release but at least for the seatpost with existing quick-release screw an alternative that is not readily aufzubekommen by casual thieves with normal tools. The "normal" screw at the other end of the chip sets has on the inside grooves or a toothing, which makes it at least for me with a fixed screw impossible to solve this page via a pair of pliers. So it is a clamping ring for quick release needed, otherwise the part really does not. Otherwise, screw is too short or canted they also indicate the normal screw at the opposite end of the special screw sets in a normal compression ring not right on this on, then you can indeed solve this page with pliers.
Some greater sense of security regarding my seat post is already there, but nothing more. Holds up to its promises: for backups not overly expensive components makes sense.
A price comparison for the set is worth it with a different name offered by various manufacturers, but always in 3-piece set with fittings for the wheels.
Important (at least for the saddle lock): the frame diameter at the transition to the seat post can be up to 32 mm in size.
