Despite some flaws an excellent game

Far Cry 1 was one of my first shooter and the second part has graphically and at least me playfully
excited. 1 hours ago I have now completed the third and describe below my impressions and my
subjective opinion about the game.

--- THE INSANE EDITION ---

Most irritated me the Wackelfigur. She is now next to the Pipboy-Bobblehead from
Fallout 3 - Collectors Edition. The cloth bag contained is nice, I do not have. The island survival guide
is intentionally wrinkled, content pielrelevant in no way looks nice but does not have to be.
The additional digital content for the game are again very helpful and rewarding. Besides additional weapons
for SP and MP there are 2 short expedition tasks and 4 exciting missions with the slightly crazy Hurk.

--- INSTALLATION AND DRM ---

Before I could go in the game to get started, my nerves with the "plague" of online coercion were
already put to the test. After installing the game, including U-Play and related online activation
I have the same all 4 available patches that I have loaded already partly filled, and wanted to play in
Start Offline mode. The unfortunately failed because the game froze the opening screen and the message:
"Application Not Responding" has ended. Great!

Solution Test No. 1:
Try this game in online mode - Freeze!
Start game with administrator rights - Freeze!
Game in compatibility mode start - Freeze!
Various combination thereof - Freeze!

Solution experiment No.2: Reinstall!
The game reinstalled, partly filled with patches, game freezes at the opening screen.
* Sigh *

Solution experiment no. 3: Reinstall the Second!
The game then reinstalled, this time set does not patch, lo and behold - the game starts.
Hurray, I can finally play after 2 hours, then stop with Version 1.0, is already working.

So I play 1 hour Which reminds me: Wait! I bought the Insane Edition, because there are still too
Additional content, missions, weapons, etc. I have yet to unlock. According to the description the game to have the
Online mode can be started and be entered under "Tools" of the Code. So far so good! I go to the
Online mode and would like to start, as says U-Play that an update is needed to play the game.
I'm going to "Quit" and U-Play denied me the game start. That's impossible! Without patches no
Online mode and no additional content, with patches no games. So I am not happy!

Solution Experiment No. 4: The last attempt
I invite my current version of U-Play on the net, do a complete re-installation included
Patches, run and await with interest the Freeze - and lo and behold: The game will start. The error was all the time
caused by U-Play, mind you of the version that came with the game.
Bravo Ubisoft! Thumbs up for this plague of forced Online!

--- GAMEPLAY ---

Now after installation and the U-Play hurdle I could finally play the game.

THE ATMOSPHERE tears IMMEDIATELY
Even the tutorial is incredibly exciting with great interactive cutscenes, of which up to the end
followed by many more. The story I find quite good, even if it temporarily for my taste but
something "supernatural" is, but that's just my opinion and has no negative impact on the rating.
The cinematic staging of the main story is extremely well done and earned the highest score - Top!
The controls are standard shooter, even if can not be the change weapons with the mouse wheel, so that is namely
switching between grenades and Molotov, but you get used to it.

THERE IS MUCH TO DO
The island can be explored freely and many side tasks are carried out between the story missions:
* NPC missions: Small side missions, most unfortunately easiest Hol / Bring / Kill tasks.
* Transfer missions: trucks bring in a predetermined time via checkpoints to your destination.
* Path of the Hunter: A certain number of certain animals must be killed with a certain weapon!
* Wanted - Dead: A (later also 2) guarded target must be eliminated with the knife.
* Radio towers climb to the map to discover: The same principle as in Assassin's Creed.
* Pirates camp conquer: clean enemy camp, then the enemy troops away from permanent
this area - Thank the infinite respawnenden sentinels were abolished from Part 2.
* Find Hidden Things: In addition to countless chests with money and sellable found things there are 120 relics,
Find 20-forgotten letters and 20 memory cards.

OF ANIMAL SKINS AND HERBS

THE AGONY OF WEAPONS CHOICE
Throughout the game there are more than 40 different weapons. Initially, only part of it is available,
the rest can be unlocked when switching on the southern island and 7 unique weapons, improved
Standard versions of the weapons can be unlocked by completing certain tasks collection,
see eg 10 forgotten letters or 6 tests the Rakyat. Weapons can be bought in the shop,
the money can be found in loot chests all over the island, when looking at opponents killed, as a reward for

By climbing radio towers you can even get hold of weapons for free in the store. While that is helpful,
makes money collecting but unfortunately fast unnecessarily.

Undetected or RAMBO
When killing enemies and conquering enemy camps you can choose how you want to proceed.
With glowing runs like Rambo, from a distance with the sniper rifle or silently with the knife.
Here one must be careful not to be discovered, sneaks up behind the opponent to him
a spectacular "Takedown" -Move to eliminate silently. The silent killing is not as annoying as I first
thought by learning new skills, different takedowns can be carried out, for example,

ON FOOT - NO THANKS!
The known means of transportation from Part 2 are back again with. Car, quad, boat, truck, classic
Hang glider. New to the list are the jet and the wingsuit in the second part of the game.
You can always make use of the wingsuit, just jump from one edge or a radio tower, keystroke
and you're slides as swift as an arrow through the air, but do not forget the parachute before the impact! ;-)

EXPERIENCE IS IN SKILLS TO INVEST
By completing orders and killing enemies, you collect experience points, which you in new
May invest capabilities, eg Advanced takedown moves, more health, the usual stuff.
It is not necessary to specialize, I had enough points after only 3/4 of the Game
unlock all abilities. That would perhaps can be more complex, but ok.

--- TECHNICAL ---

No crashes BUGS, NO
On my system (i5-750, 8GB RAM, GTX470, Win7-64 bit) running the game on medium settings
liquid. Except for the DRM - problems at the beginning, there were no crashes or bugs during my 27 hours
permanent first pass.

GRAPHIC stunning
The hardware requirements are a bit much but despite its medium setting, the game looks great,
The graphics are very well done, the animations of NPCs very natural and smooth and beautiful island environment
invites repeatedly to stop for a moment and enjoy the view, while the GTX 470 cooling for their lives in the housing. ;-)
I am, however, noticed that it often ugly rushes loading of textures, as you get closer in the picture,
the does not look nice, but can get over considering the remaining graphical splendor.

GOOD BUT ASYNCHRONOUS NARRATION
The German dubbing is great succeeded on the choice of spokesperson ago, however, the synchronization
often extremely imprecise, meaning that the NPC often move the mouth and yet say nothing, or vice versa
say whole sentences in Bauchrednerischer perfection, without moving a muscle in his face.

No game is perfect, and Far Cry 3 does not. I prefer in my rating from one star, the reason
The following flaws:

The storage system
Pretty disturbing I find the storage system in Far Cry 3. Only limited Free storing, fixed memory points
and during a mission can not be saved manually. Very frustrating when you during
a long mission that will be saved only at the beginning and completion, will end the game.

namely ignored when memory status and you lose that progress if not

Much money and nothing to buy

Far Cry 3 is an atmospherically dense experience, cinema ripe staged, short - a worthy successor.
However, the DRM-harassment and minor blemishes prevent the full number of points and remain so
