Mark Haddon wrote this book by putting himself in the shoes of Christopher soufrant a teenager with Asperger's syndrome. This syndrome is a mild form of autism characterized by an inability to interact with the world in general and logical ability and superior memorial (curiously over-represented in the departments of mathematics and physical universities of Oxford and Cambridge, but I ;-) me astray. The life of Christopher, although row between his dad and his school dramatically changes the day he decided to write a detective story. I will not spoil the story, any trivial sum of a lost teenager mainly in his head, but what makes the book exciting is its deceptively naive style and approach that the author chose. Imagine a story told by Rainman, unable to feel the emotions that the reader understands -lui- well. Imagine a world where mundane conversations are acts of bravery or a train station and is a hell or yellow and brown make sick ... then imagine a touch of fantasy and humor and above all a well positioned naivete REVELATRICE . When you're done imagining, go get this book, you will not be disappointed.
