"RAW" includes 16 songs, which were all produced by the man with the penchant for white contact lenses themselves. As an opener is "Hot 16's", in which the boy leaves no doubt that it is replete with self-confidence, what is happening in combination with a penetrating, taut held Instrumental. Whoever hears Hopsin for the first time this is also immediately aware of his casual flow and pleasant debate. "Sag My Pants" is somewhat reminiscent Hopsins model Eminem. This is not only the snotty chorus, but also the fact that the boy the same mess with a bunch of people. In addition to Drake, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy also gets the old label Ruthless away its fat. The production is quite basic, almost unspectacular but therefore perfect for listening. Tip: Be sure to check the video for the song Watch. Significantly gloomier is what the subsequent "You Are My Enemy" to. Just the background melody ensures goose bumps, Hopsin does the rest. Here takes the refrain with its many electronics and singing again some of it, nevertheless one can speak here of a successful track. In stark contrast, is to "I'm Not Introducing You", which sounds a whole damn groovy and happy, which is reinforced by something Hopsins singing. The first guest appearance we experience with Swizzz which indeed often collaborates with Hopsin, on "I Am RAW". Content to tell the two of her career and several setbacks, which is chiseled with a very pompous Beat and the statement "B * tch I am raw" in our hearing.
Something thoughtful we experience Hopsin on "Nocturnal Rainbows" that actually sounds from Sound ago after a trip into the dark night. He speaks to his personal situation ("I still do not know who is Hopsin"), but is also tough with the American president to task. The next track "How You Like Me Now", also with Swizzz, presented against it ruff and aggressive, which is clearly sounds both the production as well as the performances of the two. "Kill Her" is somewhat reminiscent of Brotha Lynch Hung. Harter Tobak, in which the bass rumble and mercilessly Hopsin lets his hatred Tomica Wright free rein. Again, you should definitely check watch the associated video - crass material! As perfect appendage follows it with "I'm Not Crazy" (feat. SwizZz & Cryptic Wisdom), a track that could not be more entertaining. Here he tells us what he is and what is not. So really do not like it the first title of the track though, but in the words in the chorus: "I'm not crazy I'm just a tad // bit strange" thinks oneself only "all clear" and grinning, especially when re-swipe at Lil Wayne. Towards the end it comes with "Blood Energy Potion" toward Horror Core, where the song is actually the sound of an old horror ham - can call - garnished with a few guitar riffs. Hopsins flow here is a real treat, the content must be of course not take it so serious. Rounding out the whole thing with a re more than felicitous track, "Pillow Man".
Once You've heard the album this really talented rapper, you fall in enthusiasm since Hopsin finally found a label that pressed this on board. Worth it all. "RAW" is refreshing, as clearly deviating from the mainstream, also very entertaining, if you listen to the lyrics carefully. Who the Strange Music Department or the older stuff like Eminem should definitely times hear in here, but also all others who have the Pop-softener enough.
