The C595 has done all this to the full satisfaction; for the C620A languages in addition to the compared to the C595 in principle unchanged operation:
- The ECO function,
- The deemed by most reviewers as acceptable handsfree features,
- The AA batteries in the C620A, intended to enable long opening hours (but also heavier than the AAA batteries in the C595).
Functions such as baby monitors or baby call are not used and therefore not evaluated.
So far use the handsfree function of the C620A has convinced the device sounds compared to C595 clearer and less noisy. A clear advantage of the device is the call barring.
However, the C620A suffers from a point, which is addressed in many reviews, and the C595 certainly for us was already an issue: in the ringtones. The statements have to be hesitate when purchasing; the hope was then, however, that it would not be so bad. When we had finally found C595 also acceptable for us ringtone.
Unfortunately, this hope has not met the C620A. One wonders what one thinks in this Gigaset. Even as a telecommunications engineer you probably heard what sound design ever. The entire family hates this otherwise good phone for its truly awful ringtones; the few that are available, are an intolerable than the other. Unfortunately it is not possible to retrofit their own sounds, and so we are considering seriously to return the phone only because of ringtones.
How many stars are justified for deduction? None, because the phone seems to be otherwise top technically and ringtones are inconsequential? One, because ghastly ringtones are a matter of taste? Or two, because ultimately ringtones represent a not to be underestimated aspect of the product and it should be possible in the prior art to provide to the device either 100 different ringtone versions of all sorts of preferences available or retrofitting should be possible?
We choose 2 star trigger and hope that one reads in Gigaset those reviews (a) and (b) be considered for the future.
Ah yes, the low volume of ring tones is called for in some reviews. That's for us but not an issue.
