When my old 24 "LED monitor broke down two weeks after the warranty, I scraped together my savings and stopped his eyes for a new monitor with 24 inch. After a little browsing on the Internet, I came across the BenQ gaming RL2455HM. I must say that this monitor has exceeded my expectations. Why do I tell you in the following report.
Building
The structure of the monitor is self-explanatory and you need here any tools such as a screwdriver or similar. The device is simply plugged together and holds bombproof. So the monitor is built on LANs again very quickly.
Image Quality
The decisive with any monitor. Here I describe to you my impression after a week of continuous operation of this monitor.
The picture quality is top. The monitor is designed for so-called Real Time Strategy Games (RTS games) and needs therefore a very low response time. By 2012 and 2013, the Monitor was still used in the Intel Extreme Masters for shooter and RTS games. This has a very positive effect on the image display. The colors are bold, high-contrast black and really acts as Black, not milky (like my old monitor). Responsible seems the "Black Equalizer", a function of the screen, which should make it possible to represent the Black even more intense.
But what I have found in my monitor is a small reddish and the brightness was too high. These settings can be but easily corrected via the settings of the monitor. Later more about the settings.
Reaktionsnzeit
Fabled 1ms response time. Short explanation: The response time describes how fast the pixels on the monitor may change color. Is this too high affects the game spongy. With this monitor, the image is neither vague nor falsified.
Refresh rate
The frame rate in this case is the default 60Hz for PC monitors. That is the image updates itself 60 times per second and the monitor can display as 60 FPS (frames per second). That's absolutely sufficient to be able to represent every game smoothly. I had always used a lot of problems if you once had more than 60 FPS in a game, because the monitor has formed streak relatively quickly. But I could not find in this Monitor. If, however, some games can be streaks appear in games easily Vertical Synchronization (VSync) switch, which synchronizes the FPS with the refresh rate of the monitor, thus preventing the formation of streaking.
Settings
The menu is simple and intuitive control. By pressing any key (except the :-) off key) can open the menu. Among other things, you can here the "Picture Mode" choose a profile. The monitor is set by default on the profile "RTS 1", which I personally think is a very good profile. The colors are crisp and the contrast is good. If you want to but you still have the choice between the standard profiles, sRGB, Movie, Eco, Photo, RTS1, RTS2, Gamer 1, said Gamer 2 and 3. In other gamers you have a profile for each situation.
When it is not completely satisfied you can then jump into the menu and tweak the settings yet. I have the brightness turned down a bit more. Sorry but I have no way of discovering the menu language in German convert. But you can handle it and for me is not a negative point.
Price
I bought the monitor for 169.00. For this you get a fabulously good monitor with extremely good image, which is hopefully a long time do its duty.
Conclusion
Absolute buy recommendation! For the money you get a good gaming monitor DIR, by which he will have to play a lot of joy in.
