Yes, I nevertheless have a manual juicer, model "elbow grease" and "frustration": first you sweat blood and water by pressing / turning the fruit on the glass dome (I have this: Luminarc - 75146 - Glass citrus juicer) and then you cry to the measly glass bottom collected and butchery which turned your citrus: the bouillasse in, full of lost juice, and a covered hand that bark considered it useful to offload ... To press half a lemon for a recipe, it goes well beyond what is even worth.
So I interested first in the juicer type manual "pro" like Lacor - 63914 - Press Fruits Manual - Grand but before the little enthusiasm of buyers and bulk (not to mention the incredible price of some models), I turned to electric juicer.
There, my selection criteria were:
- Clutter: some are really huge for the task performed
- Power: I remained puzzled by announcing devices 30 W
- The strength: the "toutenplastic", it does not connect me
So I spotted the Cuisinart CCJ210E that met these requirements: not too busy area, 100 W and 3-year warranty for a stainless steel device with true plastic parts but I doubt we have a choice on this. As a bonus, a secret function which I will discuss later.
Order, purchase and citrus hop that's decked me! Commissioning is super simple: wash 3 removable parts of it, back in place, plug, cut a washed citrus (wise advice leaflet) and go! Simply remove the protective cover, press moderately citrus on the dome and rotation starts alone. An impressive amount out of a half citrus now !! We check time to time that has urged all sides and we go to the bonus stage ...
Stop mystery, anyway if you read the description, you know what it is: a centrifugation last drops that are hidden in the pulp! To do this, simply remove the fruit, replace the lid and gently press: the device idles and ejects the precious and very substance of the citrus :-) This step can be performed at any time, it is not necessary every half fruit. For example, when the glass is almost full.
Importantly, the stop-drop works very well. Simply lift the spout for a perfect seal.
All in all a very good camera:
- Very heavy: do not move during use
- Archi easy to clean: only 3 moving parts washing / rinsing (recovery bowl, rotating dome and cover)
- Very functional centrifugation
- Dome adapted to different fruits, the small lemon large grapefruit
- Not too loud but I have no point of comparison
Some caveats:
- The relatively short electrical cable (about 25 cm)
- Plastic (treat carefully)
- No reverse rotation (but what interest since the end result is excellent)
- The price, but Amazon did some promo the pill (and then if Cuisinart warrants this product 3 years is a guarantee of sustainability). In any case, if you buy citrus juice (it's not my case, I like those of trade po!), The investment should be quickly recovered.
Thank you for having me read ...'ll go get me a juice, this novel gave me thirsty ;-)
