Since it looks mau with Panasonic if you want a 46 inch plasma unit, I was interested in the new Reference Series from Panasonic and especially the WT series - but it's just not a plasma. After searching the internet, Read Reviews and test types in shops, I have but then decided to buy the Panasonic TX-L47WT50E. Purchase decisive were the very good ratings, the technical top equipment (eg LED backlight and local dimming etc., the datasheet of Panasonic this provides all the details), a superior 3D display (2 battery-powered 3D shutter glasses are included), the timeless design, the EU Energy efficiency class A + and also that this 47 inch model with 107 cm is 3 cm wider than my current 42 inch plasma and thus were no installation problems.
By the way: on the shortlist I have two Philips devices the 8 and 9-series, but convinced they really are not going well for the regular cutting of Philips in reliability and service test, and also the reviews on Amazon anything but convincing. Also a good look in the Loewe department I have done, but here tells me the styling disagree and so convincing image quality did not appear to me, given the still very high prices.
I have ordered from Amazon, and our equipment has been delivered on time. Unpacking, installation, setting up and connecting the device does not cause problems, but you should tackle with 2 people. Immediately ready to start the setup menu with the first base settings and the transmitter scans. This all happened very quickly, and then makes you look at all the various setting options approach, in which case their own viewing preferences naturally play the leading role. The device also offers a wealth of possibilities on Internet usage, network connectivity, etc. - for me a minor matter, but a modern Smart TV needs something today can. We therefore watch TV and movies.
To evaluate the picture and sound quality:
highlight fundamentally positive you have the very wide viewing angle of 178 degrees, which succeeded so far no LCD / LED and is comparable to plasma panels.
In DVB-T mode, you can the image quality depending on the transmitter and the signal strength described as consistently good, with some stations even as very good.
For DVB-S mode SD material is well represented to very good, with the HD channels, the picture is very rich in detail with natural colors, sharp and brilliant and has really great viewing pleasure. Also contrasts and Black representation vote. To watch TV, we have the "Normal" mode is selected with some individual settings. Quite nice is the factory-set Umblättereffekt when changing channels, but one can also leave. Panasonic supplies factory a conventional remote control with illuminated keys and a small touchpad FB.
The image quality in BluRay (from Pansonic DMP-BDT 500EG): in "Cinema" mode, I have made the first eye test with the BD "Star Wars Episode 3" and was simply amazed: so sharp, brilliant and with such enormous plasticity and depth effect Image I've never seen the opening sequence of this film. I have to say, this experience made me very excited, such a quality improvement then I have not expected when moving from plasma to LCD / LED.
Overall, the Panasonic is very natural and vibrant colors, the setting options according to their own sense of sight are very extensive. Phenomena like Clouding or side lighting effects I have been unable to determine. The 2D to 3D conversion works very well, the effect holds true for technical reasons in limits, but as football-transfers or Formula 1 - Race see so already from plastic. With specially produced 3D films but the effect is partly sensational. The two supplied glasses fit well, even with glasses, and the batteries should last about numerous films. Every time when you turn the glasses of charge of the batteries is displayed briefly at the bottom right on the TV screen. Replacement batteries are in existence for little money on Amazon.
Who occasionally more than two glasses required and not necessarily want to buy more expensive, battery-powered glasses from Panasonic will find it at Samsung: here there are 2 battery-powered glasses for nearly 35 and that are recognized compatible with the Panasonic TV, ie they are and work , However, the processing, stability and comfort of the Panasonic glasses is better and they are laterally protected against extraneous light, it still takes at the Samsung glasses too much true of the environment. In addition, the Panasonic replacement glasses are battery powered and can be recharged within half an hour via USB port on the TV.
As for the sound quality, which of course depends on the space available and how the personal preferences are. We feel the sound and the intelligibility of the output sound for such a flat device as very good, the setting options are extensive, with movies and concert DVDs the sound comes anyway over an AV receiver.
We have this TV now for almost three months in operation and are always thrilled anew by its excellent image quality and its properties. The TX-L47WT50E provides a picture quality that is absolutely comparable to plasma quality, in my opinion, even better terms what brilliance, sharpness and three-dimensionality. Therefore, the TX-L47WT50E from the "Reference" class of Panasonic belongs to the top class of all TVs on the market! Who does not access at the current prices, really missed something.
