Firstly in terms of design, the rooster is the pase ane because evolution is frank in terms of design while retaining the shape of the G500. Can that mean?
- A high-performance sensor or even too much. Despite a 27 "IPR 12K are useless for 95% of people. But limit, it is not as important as having too many IPR.
- Software OK. Many remarks and complaints about it. About me and Win 8.1, RAS. Downloaded & installed in 5 minutes. Configuring the mouse 2mn (yes ok I already know the software, it helps) with all possibility of change for each button (config preset macro choice etc ..). Changing the brightness of the logo, three different profiles and available internal memory and can save on your PC. In short, it is comprehensive, simple and French.
- On the buttons, RAS, I do not have a big hand and fingers rather fine and everything falls sour thumb. The two side buttons are conveniently placed and the youngest, the "sniper" button is accessible with the tip of the thumb.
The CIO will change easily with the two buttons on the left click. Easy access, no click of error for my part, playing in short, it's all good. The hitch will cover profile change button which is very down compared to the wheel (after the button to disengage the wheel). We must therefore do some gym with his finger to access. Not very practical but at the same time, always about me, I only use one profile.
- For roulette and also with a G700, it is clearly marked on the teeth and especially I find it very heavy. We feel that it is its weight. It surprises a little out. Out of habit, we should easily do it.
- For clicks, it's all good, they are frank, sound (but not too). In short RAS.
- Let's talk about weight, weight 3.6gr 5 to add (not installed by default) in the mouse with a very simple and fast system. If the weights are not used, there is a small box to put them. About me, I have added two on the rearmost part to offset the weight of the mouse before. After that, it depends on the mouse that everyone wants style, light (it's still in 120gr default) or "heavy" (140gr max with weight)
- Finally, talk about skates, I do not know if I have bad luck (but seems that this is an evil of the first models) but the glue of them is more than visible and slightly starting to peel ( just a few days of use). Boring for a new product, it is the only downside of the mouse at the moment. A quality control that has not been well done or a glue that reacts during transport. In short, it is damaging to a mouse with more than 60 and who want upscale. A little "tinkering" in order to refine it all. Regarding the pads themselves, it is teflon with a big big slides on hard carpet (Ozone Neutron). On a fabric mat, it hangs a bit more (normal) but still very nice.
In the end what to say? Logitech has pretty well done the work, IPR debauchery profile galore ,, wheel disengaged, more than correct manufacturing quality (except skates so), etc ... For the price we pay for and if the Logitech's reliable reputation is respected, it is a field mouse who should follow me a hell of a time.
:)
Update: Warning; there is a nasty bug between the Logitech Gaming Software and G502. If you use a different setting than the carpet factory, it may happen in some games that you were aiming at permanently ceiling ... As if your view was blocked staring at the ceiling. C''st a known good Logitech waiting to be solved ... To see so! :)
