Top:
- Picture is a class of its own
- Reacts super fast (load times, etc.)
- The familiar, simple and easy to use menu interface
- Super Super quiet ... Finally, another player in the affordable segment where you may enjoy the movie and not the operating noise of the discs
Flop:
- No optical output for sound
- Processing and material of the case is really bad: the feet are at different heights, and it was a great label of Sony with advertising for the device glued to the clear coat top, which we removed very carefully. All the adhesive remained on the clearcoat liable, the clear coat is to be so razor thin that when you turn comes just a little with your fingernail, you already have a scratch.
The glue we have tried with a gentle cleanser to remove for plastic surfaces -> the whole surface where the sticker was has disappeared !!! There's really just a hint of clear lacquer on the cheap plastic. We will try to foil yet save what can be saved, otherwise let the tip of the Sony Label stick and not settle.
Conclusion: quietly play the purpose BluRays with good quality met the unit with flying colors. The price in the middle segment has probably the interior, thanks to the less housing processing. Since the S350 to classes was better (purchase price at that time 200). Nevertheless, strong buy recommendation, and Sony should please omit this advertising stickers or other use !!
EDIT: with DC-Fix as foiling on top to cover up the glue-gate, it looks better than before. And you can sometimes rid stains and dust without scratching the housing!
