My subject line is Indeed a nod to Christopher Hitchens' book on the man and I believe this work is a keynote In His catalog. If you wish to Understand the Spanish Civil War, this book is for you. Orwell served on the frontline with the Marxist POUM goal arrived in Spain via the International Brigade. Spain Was the battleground for the greater global fight entre Fascism and Communism. Both Orwell and saw through Was inspired to write 1984 & Animal Farm as a result de son considerable personal experiences and insight. A true visionary.
