But here, singing the more powerful songs the group down to Young Ned of Shane MacGowan and mostly written by him. In his reported excesses it should now not have been the most pleasant man band, but his power and voice of the band do well (and this to him). Ok, the drowsy Yeah Yeah could be omitted and Honky Tonk Women was better than Mick Jagger so hard not too, but otherwise the pieces and songs move between good and very good for a second best of from 1984-1990.
The booklet provides the lyrics (something I always like). Four and a half stars for forty-five minutes Irish Folk Rock Power.
