Display:
The display itself looks really sharp out, is great to read and very bright.
The brightness is controlled by a sensor, which works out pretty reliable in my opinion!
But who wants to can adjust the brightness of the clock manually.
Scope of supply:
Supplied with a USB power adapter, the QI charging cradle are a Quick Start Guide (need not) and, of course, contain the clock.
The charging unit can be used with any Micro USB luckily power supply (eg by phone) and is not permanently connected to the power supply.
Charging the clock:
The clock can be charged with any QI charging station.
On the Internet, although the Gegentteil is often said, but I have this claim successfully refuted the Nexus Wireless Charger and the EasyChee charger.
Personally, I find the QI-charging solution for Smart Watches simply the best -> No cable, no pogo pins.
Now I use a charger for my Nexus 5 and Moto 360 -> Simply super.
The first start:
Immediately after the start and the Paring with the smartphone, you will be forced to Softwarupdate. But this can only be carried out when the clock is fully charged. After 80% of the update was carried out and the clock rebooted.
The Paring with the app "Android Wear" worked without problems.
Setting options Unfortunately, there are (currently) in this app are very few.
But you can download the app "Motorola Connect" directly from Motorola, which provides more configuration options.
With this app you can eg configure the complete Watch interface (dial).
Sogesehen both apps a must.
What I noticed something negative:
When the clock was out of range from your phone, you often had problems to reconnect automatically.
Here I had to help out manually.
Then times the clock was connected, but still could not access the Internet.
After restarting the clock these problems were then largely disappeared!
Here Google is yet to rework something.
Hardware:
Yes it is true, at the clock, it can sometimes comes to micro stuttering when wiping.
These appear to be attributed to the old processor in other reviews.
In everyday life, interfering with / but this fall is not absolutely on.
The open small edge at the clock does not disturb.
Clear Motorola would also be able to install a better chip, but I find Android Wear also runs with the old very round.
From the battery life ago I was actually very pleasantly surprised:
Of course I knew before buying that daily Laden is coming towards me.
In practice, sometimes plays a day with the clock and has in the evening but still about 30% battery.
(Display always on, I turned off).
As I so and so always take the clock while sleeping by the arm, it bothers even when it is loaded, meanwhile.
Android Wear in my opinion is still somewhat immature:
- Can start) Apps you only if you do a search.
-) The cards I have completely wiped always unconsciously at the beginning and then asked me where they are out now.
-) If you have just located in one basket and the clock goes to a time automatically to standby, then you're back on your homescreen
- I saw in 4 days so far only 3) Now Goolge Maps (travel time home, weather, steps)
These are a few things that I have noticed disturbing.
Positive are of course the notifications (SMS, Whatsapp and E Mail reception).
Here you can see the clear strengths of the clock.
If I quickly want someone in the car calls -> I just say "Ok Google" and "Call John Doe" and immediately the right contact is chosen.
Android Wear is always evolving fortunately
Pedometers and heart rate monitors
The Heart Rate Monitor works (mostly), I can not say whether the values are correct, unfortunately.
The clock used below an optical sensor with a green light!
I guess the sensor, in combination with a running app makes the SmartWatch to good sports clock alternative.
From pedometer you realize not much, sometimes hidden the clock a Google Now card with the previous steps a.
It is conceivable, however, that this sensor can benefit from a running app.
My Conclusion:
When you stand on gadget like Smart Watches, then you can go wrong with this clock nothing.
The design and processing, as well as the water-Resistents (IP67) are simply great.
Clear the clock should charge every day and also Android Wear is still in the early stages, but it is fun to wear the clock and playing with it.
For me, it is currently the most beautiful SmartWatch on the market!
And it gets better after each update!
