The headphone amplifier, the music comes across much better, the bass is stronger and the sound is a lot cleaner. One must of course be careful that you do not turn up the volume too high, because the controller is a little too simple to operate. In the studio I have often inadvertently gone too high, because the controller is too light.
Another advantage is the possibility to connect 2 headphones, so you can together with his girlfriend heard eg on the bus or tram, or can watch videos. Also connected in the car on the portable DVD player that thing on a trip beneficial to the children is to satisfy because they look so together and hear, and with good sound.

The amplifier holds according to my measurements approximately 16-17 hours in operation, partly operating with 2 headphones, which I found very good performance feel.
My Conclusion:
A good headphone amplifier improves the sound of music considerably, to me personally, however, not so appeals for films etc..
