The unit of Hisense provides at a very reasonable price a lot of light, but also plenty of shade. In my estimation, the device is well suited if you primarily looking for a second device to the television or the TV does like long and run in the background. To use as a playback of USB or DLNA device is partially suitable. Who puts on a brilliant and high-resolution image value, should at least avoid the 32 incher. There now follows a detailed examination of the main points:
Packing and shipping:
Due to the low weight of the shipment will be executed normally by parcel service, with me DHL. The TV is securely packed with polystyrene, before the display is an additional styrofoam plate is. Here everything is in the green zone.
Installation and commissioning
The device can either be placed on the supplied feet or hung with a VESA-compliant mount on the wall. The feet of plastic are easy to install, but seem a little cheap. The wall mount with a swivel mount went smoothly for me.
After the wiring has to start first then the main switch on the underside of the unit to be transferred. The complete shutdown can be seen as an advantage, however, should take into account that modern TV sets (go extrapolations from 2 per year) in standby barely consume electricity. On the contrary, I find the Council in the manual, preferably completely shut down the unit in the absence, rather than strange and wonder if the manufacturer knows risks that do not seem immediately apparent to me.
The unit is set next. Here you should make it to activate the TV in the Home Premium or mode, otherwise changes to the settings are discarded when you power off. The wireless network at 2.4GHz has found the TV and connected smoothly after entering the WPA2 key. Also the CI + module Unitymedia has been detected. The automatic tuning also worked flawlessly in a timely manner.
Now you can sort the services. This requires that you select each channel separately and bring them to the right place. This is a bit time consuming, but you do it normally yes only once. With high end devices that is certainly comfortable, but it's also not impossible task. Once again I would like to refer to the modes because it is certainly annoying when the cumbersome current station list will disappear: Home or Premium! One can also subsequently adjust the preference menu.
Image quality:
The 32 inch model has only one HD-ready display. The resolution and representation is of course not overwhelming, but by the small screen size is not as bad as I feared. Of course you can see blurring, especially when text overlays. But larger artefacts I could not perceive, or very shortly after being switched. Who changes, for example from a tube TV to this TV, an improvement of the image is still perceive. Even someone who does not (longer) than perfect vision, can be very satisfied with the picture, because the differences between HD Ready and Full HD blur in the best sense of the word. (Please understand this statement is not too critical, this is also the opinion of my partner who has quite a few diopters.)
Judging but right up critical of what may perhaps seem unjust when non-negligible price to 220, and the quality of the upscaling of normal 576i digital material to complain about. The representation of native HD material (whether TV signals with 720p / 1080i or BluRay / MKV 1080p) is just as exhilarating. Here are the weaknesses of the obsolete HD-ready panels in combination with the price payable under the average image processing hardware clear out. My conclusion to the image is therefore a nutshell: not great, the price is reasonable, but you can live with it if you do not need hammer undue HD.
Tonqualtät:
Flat-panel televisions convince rare here. Even the Hisense is no exception and the sound remains average. If you want to, however, really only watch TV normally, the sound is full enough and the device can also be loud enough untwist. For proper viewing pleasure even a small Soundbar is advisable.
For the more-than-just-TV program users: connectivity with Wi-Fi (DLNA / NAS) and USB
Again, again show strengths and weaknesses; Fi and support for DLNA are not commonplace in the price range of Hisense, but due to some problems, it acts as if the manufacturers here a little too much wanted.
First of all I have with the stability of wireless connection no problem and also the access to my Twonky server (DLNA) works just fine. The navigation is a little support and even the time of selection to play longer than usual. Then run both AVI and MKV. Only problem: during playback is permanently the filename and the file information is displayed above and below, which disturb much while looking and superimposed subtitles. Even the friendly customer service from Hisense could offer no solution for me. Thus the device is unusable despite good connection and play the required formats for me in this area.
Sure, you can also play back files via USB. But then I do not need a TV with Wi-Fi function. But well, then times the area USB. The USB 2.0 port and a 3.0 drive is recognized, of course, not with 3.0 speed. Playback of SD content (AVI) runs completely smoothly; the menu and commands for coils etc. react without significant delay. When playing HD content (MKV, H264) but shows up again the poor performance of the processor. Between the time you press Menu, Pause or Play and a reaction from the TV takes several seconds. From the fast-forward in this play can be more than ten seconds associated with the feeling of TV was frozen and crashed. Languages can be selected from the menu; AC3 is playing, when selecting a DTS sound track of the TV remains but unfortunately silent.
Design and production:
The design of the device is appealing, modern and high-quality works, apart from the feet. The frame is pleasantly thin and lets the device appear elegant. The plastic used on the rest of the device, however, makes a less stable impression that one is used by other devices. For this the device has a very strong smell of plastic that would be completely normal, according to instructions in the manual. Very after several days of airing the smell has not yet passed. I also had no other TV producers from more expensive for me this was the last point, why I send the device back. After all, the TV must be hanging in the bedroom.
Connections:
HDMI-CEC
HDMI ARC with DVI
SCART (with adapter)
USB 2.0
Jack
Digital coaxial (no TOSLINK)
LAN
CI +
Endfazit:
The 32 TV Hisense I hold only conditionally even taking into account the low price for recommended. Who really only looking for cheap irrigation TV or second TV and no big demands on image quality provides, can therefore be happy.
Higher demands, the device but not justice. The fun of the great connectivity is lost due to the weak processor, the lean upscaling and no longer contemporary HD Ready panel. Since one should also not be blinded by the price.

About a little feedback on my admittedly rather long review, I am pleased. Constructive criticism and like in the comments. Thanks for reading!
