The slightly over-priced standard zoom would cost less in my opinion, about 400 to 500.
Nevertheless, it is a brilliant high-end lens on the reference level. Top in the processing and imaging performance.
For photographers who earn their money, and who rely on quality, for those it is thoroughly recommended.
All others are perhaps better off a few months to wait until the price falls significantly below 2000.
