As they almost worked in my coffee machines, I have used the pills for other purposes.
I had, for example, a glass bottle with swing top, in the longer term was cooking oil. As a result, a crust on the bottom of the bottle had deposed that did not disappear even with detergent and hot water.
Two tablets with some water in the bottle and surprise, surprise, the bottle was new after half an hour like.
Likewise, I had plastic parts that had gotten inadvertently renovating some varnish. I put the pieces in a bowl, water pure, three tablets in and after a few hours you could easily rub off the paint with a sponge. Whether me this enormous impact now can give confidence in the health aspect, I doubt it.
But honestly, such tablets are in the household sometimes worth gold.
