I should point out that my 5 stars are "bought" neither of TrekStor, do not have anything to do with my offer in the market place, but simply rewarding the performance in relation to the unbeatable price of 150.
However, it seems really quality variations in this model series to give, so probably also the 1-star "mon model reviews" right to exist, but I can not identify any of the significant shortcomings observed in my device.
One still anticipate that Xiron is NOT identical to the popular tablet: 16:10 vs. 16: 9 + display quality, microUSB vs. own power supply for charging format, brightness sensor arrangement of the keys ... all speaks times abgesehnen the display for completely different motherboards and possibly also other components that are identical only in terms of their gross performance.
+++ 16:10 screen format (1280x800 pixels): It was particularly important to me because I 16: 9 find just impractical. The broader devices have then Although on paper a higher resolution, but not only about the width and it then but also less pixels in height (1366x768), which is only for watching movies makes my opinion sense and that's for me the principle purpose of Tablets. Who came up with this nonsense, please, can only have been someone from the marketing department ?!
++ 4x1.6GHz processor and 2GB RAM allow absolutely smooth working because even much more expensive devices rarely offer more power.
++ Micro-USB charging socket: If only very little tablets in this performance class. You can take the same cable for charging, as for most smart phones etc. and not still have an extra power supply with rumschleppen.
IPS + display: You can also look in good shape from the side and let others enjoy invitations.
+ The other equipment is solid and has everything important, what other devices also have: 16GB Memory + Micro SD (HC) memory card slot, Wi-Fi (b / g / n), Bluetooth (v4), mini HDMI, USB (2.0) via micro-USB adapter, cameras front and rear, Android 4.2, position and acceleration sensors
+ The touch screen control works well, is quite accurate and can detect up to 10 simultaneous touches (multi-touch)
0 In the beginning you could only use 1GB of the 16GB to install apps and the rest only for its own data, which has been fixed but fortunately through a firmware update, so now are the full 16GB for apps.
0 The weight of almost 700g is so often criticized times. It seems to me not striking hard against or lack of comparison, I would not know if I would more or less 50g particularly noticeable. I think it's definitely the type of her pleasantly flat / handy and would almost rather be traced back to a decent build quality, the weight, so is the complete back for example made of aluminum and not from cheap plastic.
0 Here is written also, that the power supply loading "buzzing" and the device / power supply would be very hot. Both I can not find my set, the back is normally lukewarm with prolonged load or intensive use. Perhaps the model was delivered with different power supplies and I have one of the "good" caught.
0 Speaker quality is not exactly the rage, but I had hardly expected from a tablet and listening to music I take anyway headphones or an external mini speakers, the sound reproduction is even quite clear and good.
0 The buttons are placed at the back of the device, which you can now chic, practical, impractical or how I find just neutral, definitely it restricts the use of bags / cases a little.
0 battery life can I find good in itself, especially compared with my smartphone. When used continually with WLAN I get on well on a weekend, in rare use sometimes through an entire week. However, the battery towards the end takes a little more quickly than at the beginning, when it is freshly loaded, as soon as possible so I always hang the device already at about 20% charge remaining to power's.
- The recharge time (4-5 hours) is indeed criticized often times, but just hangs with the Micro-USB format (5V 2A / 10W Power Supply Output with 8000mAh battery capacity) together and since I anyway an overnight charger am, outweigh the above plus for me.
- The display quality (sharpness, contrast, color reproduction) is okay, but have also seen better movies.
- No brightness sensor, the screen brightness so you have to adapt itself to the environment.
- No UMTS: but have even much more expensive devices and the move can also go via WLAN on the smartphone via HotSpot online, if you have a contract with mobile internet.
- The cameras make both not particularly great pictures, but are good rather "only" for Skype etc., but I have a digicam or my smartphone with better camera.
