First, to my device:
Have the new Acer Aspire V5-573G with i5-4210U, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD and GTX 850M. The maintenance cover is screwed on with a lot of screws, of which I have used for a SSD (are about 15, therefore one does not really stand out).
Installation was straight forward, only screws were not doing (whether it is up to Crucial or due to the Warehouse Deals I can not say) with me. There are holes for 2 screws provided, in my laptop there but only for a bolt a base. Sits still stable.
After installation directly placed newly installed and Windows 8.1 on a USB flash drive to the SSD. Without incident.
(2 hours to install updates) After everything was done, I made the first benchmark (CrystalDiskMark) and was pleasantly surprised.
Here the benchmark data for those interested (1000MB data, 5 tests):
Sequential Read: 502 031 MB / s
Sequential Write: 348 673 MB / s
Random Read 512KB: 461 604 MB / s
512KB Random Write: 356 895 MB / s
4KB Random Read (QD = 1): 29,214 MB / s [7132.4 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD = 1): 84 351 MB / s [20593.5 IOPS]
4KB Random Read (QD = 32): 351 318 MB / s [85771.0 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD = 32): 309 968 MB / s [75675.8 IOPS]
So the SSD creates the promised 550/350.
Happy to have bought the SSD Bin (and thanks Warehouse deal even cheaper).
For questions I am happy to help.
