But when the first spoilers and info leaked came the first shock "Mark Darcy is dead". Hello There ?? You'Re Welcome ?? We have 1 April ?? It is sad but true but Marc is the 3rd Bridget Jones book is no longer alive. The information is now also no more spoilers, and you would learn at the very beginning of the book. Despite the fact that I was absolutely not happy with the fact I decided to read the book and to give him a chance.
Bridget is now in his early 50s, has 2 children (5 + 7) and is (unfortunately) widow. Your friends and they decide that it's time to jump back into the dating saddle. But how? After a few failures Bridget learns on Twitter to 29+ Roxxter. But by far the younger man is really the man for Bridget?
Where should I start? Bridget is of course still the same messy, clumsy, bumbling Bridget but really fits the still to a center 50 years widow and mother? I do not find. Because I think even Bridget should have tires on recent experiences. That's why it's also really liked me hard for me to take a picture of the "midage" Bridget. I always had the 30 year old Bridget in the head while reading. (Yes I do not know "only" a book, but it still does not fit somehow easy)
Eventually I tried hide how old reading is Bridget in the book. This there were some passages which I quite funny and Bridget typically found and made me smile.
But unfortunately that was not even all that bothered me. The bar of humor depends really low in this novel. At the very beginning there is a scene in which the children are sick and is written as Bridget with the intestinal contents of the children get along (I do not lead further out), on the dates with Roxxter plays repeatedly the stomach contents an issue etc. There remains no choice but to tell me: "Really, Helen Fielding REALLY on a level so you can see our love chaotic Briton now?
Unfortunately I did not have the incentive to finish the book. Clearly it has entertained me in some places, but needing to know the feeling of what happens next just could not get on. This is exactly why I have not be able to motivate reading the book page by page until the end to end. I have completely read through about 75% of the book and have to confess that I have only read across the rest.
But even if I broke the book more or less, I can not imagine that the remaining 25% would have again brought as much from the book, which would be my disappointment turned into enthusiasm me.
Too bad too bad! This book is again the proof that it can sometimes be better is a continuation.
Conclusion:
A disappointing for me continued, with the need to consider any Bridget fan if he wants to really read.
