First of all is no longer in the SSD device, but an eMMC, a memory chip. This should lt. Packing back its 32 GB in size, but are displayed 49.2 GB, of which a little over 30 GB free. Expandable the device is (lt. Manual) by plugging in a microSD card of up to max. 32GB. That worked without any problems. The microSD is the D: drive appears.
Then, the 8.1 inch display. Has been reported on the first model that the screen from the side can not be seen, this is not a problem here. The display is sharp and enjoyable - from every angle, which one occupies in use, excellent cost - at least in my opinion. It is equally bright and the colors radiate naturally.
Technology: 2 GB of RAM, an Acer Crystal Eye webcam Full HD rear, a mini-Cam front, UMA Grafics, Intel Atom Z2760 processor (1.8 Ghz), the battery is a 2-cell Li-Polymer battery. In addition, Bluetooth 4.0 is installed. (As I said, we are talking about a 200 euros Tablet!)
The system: Lt. Pack is installed, a "Windows 8 Small Screen Touch (SST) 32bit". What is that? Windows 8 is the "normal" Windows 8, not Windows 8 RT. This is awesome, because as known from PC software can be easily installed upon request. Windows 8 SST, however, also includes a version of "Microsoft Office 2013 Home & Student". That alone makes the tablet a bargain. This office costs alone scarce 100 euros, so that the tablet still beats with 100 euro record ... that is unrivaled. BUT !: This Office is not included as a download voucher, as stated in item descriptions in it (for example, also here at Amazon). The sofware is installed and Windows 8 and Office 2013 are only a common license code that came with in the form of the known Windows 8 sticker. I suspect, therefore the use of the office is actually limited to this tablet and the code can be used anywhere else.
Windows 8 can in a very lengthy procedure (which is also on PCs so that it takes) on the Windows Store in Windows 8.1 are upgraded (for free).
With only Windows 8.1 and Office on the device startup takes only a few seconds by the way. Starting a program lasts only briefly, the tablet itself runs smoothly, jerky and jerky because nix.
The connection to the Wi-Fi worked immediately and I have no connection problems at the apartment.
With the first battery charge I have to work more than 8 hours.
What's still in there? A micro-USB cable, which allows you to connect USB devices to your tablet. (No, not a micro USB cable to the tablet can be connected to the PC!). Additionally there is a Quick Start Guide, a folder jump start (initial setup and gesture control of Windows 8) and a home charger. No longer here in comparison with the "edition" of the tablets are a protective cover and the stylus. Too bad, but easy to get over at the price of below 200 Euro.
The tablet looks very valuable, although it is made of plastic. It fits comfortably in your hand, and the resolution (1280x800 pixels) is very pleasant and the touch control works fine when you get used to it (is fixed).
I love my new "mini-office" now, even if I do it only for a few days. But to finally get a tablet in a price range of less than 200 euros, on which I can use my PC software, this tablet gave a decisive advantage to me. And compared to other approximate 200-Euro-Android tablets (I had two of them), it is unrivaled speed and uses super.
Therefore: Who needs a tablet with Office Home & Student, can safely access here. The only drawback is the limited space in my eyes. eMMC with 32 (or 50 [see above]) + GB microSD memory of max. 32GB. Otherwise I have been able to find any disadvantages.
But I recommend the use of a screen protector and a stylus, because it works much pinpoint. With a 8.1 inch screen which is quite helpful.
