As eyeglass wearers: A comparison with the Sony MDR-1RNC

Bose® QuietComfort® 25 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones, black (Electronics)

Customer Review

If you search the net for noise reducing headphones, you end up almost always at Bose 15 (or now the newer version 25) and the Sony MDR-1RNC.
I think in the hundreds recessions here at Amazon is already written enough about the features and characteristics of the Bose and Sony, but I did so far lacking is a consideration as eyeglass wearers.
I wear a nerd glasses with quite large and wide temples and wants to wear the headset on the train and on long-haul flights like for more than 2 hours at a time without pressing that it begins and of course I want to do without any soundproofing anyway. In earphones do not come into question as an alternative for me.
If you have both headphones in hand, you realize the greater weight of the Sony. I did not think that these 130g make more as a difference. The contact pressure of the Sony is stronger than the Bose. The ear cushions are thicker at Sony but not as soft as the Bose.
The Sony sits so tightly on his head, that I can correct the seat of my glasses with both hands. The verrutsche glasses Just looking quickly master press again with your index finger can not. After an hour of sample carrying the Sony pushes unpleasant to the temple, I want a 10 hours flight time did not think there.
Although the pressure of the Bose is smaller, enclose his softer ear cushions the ears and the temples better without as the Sony all too much to push to the head. Even after two hours of wearing it is comfortable and not suppressed. I have been to over two hours almost forget that I'm wearing the headphones.

Conclusion
The Bose is clearly the better choice for me than wearing glasses. It is more expensive and not processed so wertig, but he just if you want to wear it longer, he sits by the softer ear pads and the lower pressure more convenient than the Sony.

What else struck me:
The switch and the cover of the charging connector on the Sony are too fiddly.
If you have the Sony after Bose in hand you think, the Sony weighs a ton.
If you have the Bose after Sony in hand, one thinks of Bose could break at every little opportunity
The connecting cable of Sony with 3.5 mm jack on both sides is better solved when the cable of Bose with 3.5mm on one side and 2.5 mm on the other side
The marking which handset is heard on which ear Bose clearer
The Bose is clearly too expensive for its choice of materials. That could be for the price, the weight to increase in size better without.
The bag of Sony is almost twice as large as that of Bose.
On Android and Windows Phone mobile phone on a volume knob does not work for both headphones, the answer key only on Android phone
