The IRDAC plays fine resolution, rhythmically thrilling and still very natural. He holds loose the level of my Audionet ART V2 CD player. Who wants to hear pop and rock with a lot of pressure and powerful bass, will certainly be good or perhaps even better alternatives. For jazz, classical, electronic and everything needs good timing and resolution, offers the IRDAC in my ears superior quality that I never expected for this price.
One tip: Once I now had problems with the output level. As it turns out, it was not on the device, but in a setting in the Audio MIDI Setup application (in Utilities). I had to first learn that there level, balance and resolution can be adjusted (Mac OS).
