Experiment Windows aborted ........ ?????????

I am now a few more years on the go with PCs, laptops and even Windows. Now a new computer, including operating system had to date, as every few years, to be acquired. Well, actually I had Apple not in mind and would also not contemplated. As chance would have it, that was currently in the consumer market of my choice (MM), an area completely available for Apple products. And since I have really for the first time looked at an Apple PC and also actually only with the background, I can then say: "Too expensive", "No better than Windows", "Ha, Windows has a lot more", etc, ! But that was not the case. Once I've made a picture of the equipment and the software, I am still become a little curious. Well, I was not immediately converted, but the rethinking came gradually. I have after visiting the market (I had bought still no PC), sat down at home and am set down with the subject MAC apart. I have read many reports, studies forums and am generally become more and more curious. 2-3 weeks later, I am again moved into the market, with a few questions in tow and got me again looked at the computer and pestered the Apple Consultants. That was for me the decisive point where I said: "I want a MAC"!
I've looked at all the offers and then I got stuck on Amazon. Where did I then ordered a few days ago.

The delivery was good, and the packaging was also good.

The 27-inch iMac is a hammer, I can not say otherwise. So a computer I have not yet possessed. The design, resolution, color reproduction, the almost non-existent noises, for a normal user like me, simply a dream! The size of the screen is almost too much of a good.

The input devices, the Magic Mouse and keyboard work great. When Keyboard I had at the beginning of the worst fears, as it is quite small and I thought I would not cope well with it. But, no problem. Stop is clean and you can write with it quickly and of course is very flexible because it does not is so large.
The mouse is for me the best overall on the iMac, the gestures that are possible with it, facilitate just about all areas of work for me. Sometimes it is a little oversensitive, but I think that's a matter of attitude and practice.

So, we come to the first turn on the iMacs, I think I have about 5 - 10 mins needed to boot him to set up and the first to surf the Internet times. I must, of course, but purely work a little and read some things that are not as clear (at least for an ex-Windows users) in the beginning. Overall, I can say that I am so far very satisfied with the step I have done and would recommend any time to look at a MAC before buying new.

Points to an iMac:
1. I want to generally plenty of games - games you can with MACs. You can install Windows on Macs, too (with software even in windowed mode), but it must be said clearly that it is not designed for the pure gamblers. One can, for example, it does not upgrade (except RAM)
2. Price - yes, that is, if one compares the pure technical data higher, but you get everything from one source (the operating system and computer) and the price drop is compared to Windows computers sums already ridiculous to call (a look at the known auction house for older iMacs)
3. Unknown OS (at least for Windows users) - by It's roughly not much different than Windows and whoever comes with Windows deal, which comes well after a settling-in period with OS X Lion
4. Quite on Windows I'll probably can not do without - got myself also Parallels to the then comfortably to solve

Points for the iMac:
1. screen - in which TV I get a resolution of 2560 x 1440
2. Concept and Design - An all-in-one computer that not only looks good, has a lot of special steam
3. Input devices - wirelessly and watching the Magic Mouse is the Hammer
OK must familiarize you a little - 4 operating system - It runs super fast high and super fast down (no comparison with my old cans) and is stable
5. There is very little virus for Mac - despite its I installed a virus Software
6. The resale value - see above

There are certainly many advantages and disadvantages, but are those that come to mind now. I'm not an Apple disciple and I think Apple can pay its name well, but as it is walk and add in other industries, quality and features, and the persuasiveness of a product is crucial.

All in all I'm very happy with my decision and not regret it. My daughter (6), and my wife come with him also super clear and that is why I say this: "strong buy recommendation" !!!!!

"...... Aborted experiment Windows ???" Well, unfortunately, I must say, that's not completely broken but more like a second car: to my question in the title. If necessary, I'm going just the "little ones", but. Only comfort with respect to the selection of software I hope that I have to pick up the second car out of the garage (Parallels) less and less and it can perhaps even a distant future simply sell. So I never had a blue screen again ............ sigh ........ but then maybe I'll miss him again and a "Windows blue screen" buy me screensaver .. .........

I must also point out that I bought to the iMac still 16 GB of memory, which was built within 5 minutes, which is a breeze and also recommend to anyone who in any case at the store prices.

In addition, I have "Switch to Mac Edition" purchased the Parallels software that allows me to run as Windows as a window or full screen separately to Lion. Meanwhile, I have it not only Vista operating system but still my old XP (for some games) and, among others, sometimes Ubuntu and Fedora to get to know. And all the way !!!! Wonderful, so you can (assuming interest) without stress sometimes different operating systems simultaneously compare side by side. Wow, I'm thrilled.

For Mac is left to say, I'm still excited, although I do not want to deny some initial difficulties here, but that is also largely due to my eagerness to experiment and stop also in mind that I'm still not 100 percent sure how Lion reacts, but comes time will tell. Something like that I last felt in Windows 95.
