I am now, because almost 7 feet viewing distance changed from 46 to 55Zoll diagonal ... and a total of 4 Panasonic plasma generations plus on this 55Zoll LED.
Picture quality is most important for me ... and I do not regret a second of plasma on these Panasonic LED changed to have.
My last 46 "GT Panasonic is thus given way to the TX-L55ETW60 ... and I'm more than pleasantly surprised. Did my plasma still approximately 220W consumed in operation, the LED 48Watt draws grad times through the diodes ... the image (and that's really the most important thing) is beyond all doubt!
Clouding, ghosting, streaking, lighting ... everything not an issue! Switching to "True Cinema" and "Warm2" ... and I am simply amazed! Super illumination, excellent visibility degree in daylight and also reduced reflections show me that I have made the right decision. A super homogeneous, well-lit, streak-free image (even in SD) with great colors and a black level, the inferior my previous plasma in nothing! On the contrary, I would almost say that the black level is almost even better than with my plasma (purely subjective and without taking into account the technical circumstances!). The image is stable, smooth, excellent dimensional, high contrast, and to my mind completely without any complaints. On the contrary ... I'm excited!
3D does not interest me really, and I have not tried .... Who wants to see "FARGO" in 3D, I get up "stories", visual Effektgehasche'm past the backside. But I do want a perfect image - and that I got!
The sound of the built-in LS, however ... borderline. For TV Geschaue it so long ago now. Meanwhile, I have also the HDMI2 with ARC enabled - even TV so I am running on the 7.1 system. Maybe I'm still upgrade to a soundbar - because I'll still leave a few days to think going into the country.
The conclusion is:
Anyone looking for a top-equipped TV, with top image (whether SD or HD) can here safely access.
Let the whole "gizmos" like "Intelligent Frame Creation", the so off "Noise Filter" or set to "Low", and you get a perfect, homogeneous, vivid picture. And it's what is important in a TV, right?
The powered down compared to my plasma to 2/3 power consumption is only mentioned in passing here ... and the completely fan-less design also. The silence in operation anyway, is perfect - and that the wall behind the TV ever "black" is; o)
I hope he keeps a few years ... now that I "arrived at destination" am, it would be painful if the life is not "hinhaut" ... but so far I have since only made the best experience with my Panasonic ...
Supplement, 09.11.2013
I am really pleased that this review here as many "likes" gets ...
Even a short supplement my Geschreibsels after a few weeks operation.
Furthermore, I am fully satisfied with the TX-L55. We just look here "worldwar Z" on BluRay - and still I can about "black level" give only the best grades. If the black in the image can no longer be distinguished from the black bars top and bottom, then I can name only homogeneous. In particular, the image at the beginning of the film, the scenes inside the dark tower, are to my taste just figuratively perfect ... dark, dark ... but still perfect coloration, not flooding into the black, details without end. Sorry love plasma friends, but I did, "so" in my 10 years of experience plasma not met.
but a tiny negative point is not still want to mention: The reflections. Directly behind the sofa is with us a small desk lamp. This point of light could be seen (especially in dark scenes) with all our TVs (entrance angle = output angle) of the image. In the plasma as a single, bright spot, the well reflected in the top glass layer. Now, with this LED here, this spot is just to see - but: Somehow this spot is still reflected from the underlying LED Grid. So it's not only the spot, but it is still colored dots, emitting visible from the spot. This, however, only when the eye to focus on this bright spot setting instead of "in depth" on the movie screen to look.
Thus, so clearly a disadvantage compared to our previous plasma. We have solved the problem that we give this a light ausknipsen halt when the film material in the direction of "The Dark Knight" is. In films like "The Hangover," which therefore come brighter, it is virtually impossible to focus on the reflection, but the image is too bright.
All in all, really a "luxury problem". Furthermore, full 101% recommendation for this great device and continues "Thanks to Panasonic" !!!
