I must preface this that I have now tried three different facial cleansing brushes in three different price segments:
The of Olay for about 25 euros.
The von Braun (with interchangeable attachment for removing facial hair) for about 45 euros.
And Philips, which comes on the test design, at least in my estimation. I got them in the "Sale" for about 111,00 Euro.
What do I get for my money?
A consisting of thin, glossy cardboard box with the device itself, a cleaning attachment for normal skin, two batteries and a small logo pouch leatherette. In addition, the manual, which is however not necessary.
How does it?
Basically it can be said that the brush makes a job. The 1st stage of the unit of Phillips is just as fast as the fastest (ie 2nd) level of Olay and Brown.
The included brush attachment is very soft - so soft that bend the bristles permanently even with minimum "false storage" in the bag.
As a result, cost of replacement essays keep within limits: Approximately 10.00 euros for two pieces I find still okay; Philips to pay up to 25.00 Euro for a single. Unfortunately, there is no special version for Olay essays as peeling or blackhead.
The unit is - in contrast to the von Braun for 45 euros - relatively quiet and reminds people waiting outside the bathroom door, audiovisual, at least not too much of a vibrator or something equally embarrassing possibly-acting. However, the Philips even quieter, although nearly 5 times more expensive.
The effect is ... Yeah, okay. One should not expect miracles. I have the brush now about 8 weeks twice a day and use a little imagination it could be that the pores have around the nose minimally reduced, but surely I'm not.
In the brush of Philips, I feel that I immediately after use faster awake look than usual This is possibly on the well-perfused area under the eyes - and that's something that was absolutely impossible for the other two tested devices.: Brown had had such bristles that I had the feeling that I'm so thin skin under the eyes broken - and Olay 'brushes are as mild as this toothbrush heads of Sensodyne that you can actually leave it the same.
The feeling of first use is certainly still great and roughly comparable to the feeling you have when you brushing his teeth for the first time with an electric toothbrush. So: Feels cleaner than before, but you do not really know why.
The bag is a letdown. The brush head the next morning which makes me doubt a little on the hygiene still wet - also the bristles are bent as I said quickly, if you even a little "wrong" pages.
The supplied batteries should last forever anyway and are wonderful interchangeable, which is a plus point.
Are's worth about 20.00 euros?
Yes and no. As for the appearance in the bathroom reminds this device in my opinion quite a stylish vibrator, the one so actually can not be lying around openly. But: It is relatively quiet and the duration is long. No timer that switches off after 60 seconds as with Philips, and I see that as a plus point.
The effect is so-so, no wonder thing, but much better than Brown in the lower price segment.
What the blood flow to the eye area concerns - ie where you look tired quickly or crumpled, this brush is a mistake.
My story short: Is it possible to have, but you do not. A wet washcloth terry met surely a similar purpose, even if he does not like this look quite as good ...
Ultimately, my judgment is due to the silent operation, long Aklulaufzeit and pleasant bristle texture anyway:
1. Philips
2. Olay
3. Brown
