The headset is top quality (leather and metal). It serves as a remote control (start and stop, volume + and - selection of sources, changing effects, menu management).
The sound is good, even very good, excellent if we use movies in 5.1 and 7.1 with many effects (Gravity, avatar ...). Sound is everywhere, it is 360 ° and even passes over the head, the bass is powerful.
The record is not so good for listening to music. Normal is a helmet Home Cinema.
Too bad that only the original headset runs on base. It is therefore not possible to synchronize, based on a second identical helmet. Nevertheless, if the need arises, we can integrate a branded headphones and / or different model using the input and the optical output of the base. The two headsets operate in parallel, the original HDMI, the other optic (Inconvenient if one has several sources, one must foresee buying a TOSLINK SWITCH and additional cords). Note that the second headset works even if the database is in standby (it also has the image of course). The sound of the second headset is that of its own base, but it's better than nothing.
In conclusion, the price of the helmet may seem expensive but given its performance (on this model, the Sony engineers have excellest) one can invest, we're not disappointed. For a helmet that has only 2 HP, immersion is really bluffing and without disturbing the neighbors. Of course, not even when we get the same atmosphere with a real home cinema.
