The key data:
- Very good picture and sound quality (only Scart, no HDMI port, I could do without it, because I still have a good old tube TV) antenna can be looped through.
- Excellent recording function on external USB hard drives, also in MPEG format.
- A little stale menu and fiddly remote control are some getting used to, but it all works and so far the device locks up almost hardly.
- The unit will (so far) all on what has been programmed, sometimes rather too much (sometimes receives shipments, which one has not programiert!), But I prefer it that way as the king, where one was never sure if he ever receives. Very nice preview function of the recordings.
- DVD function perfectly adequate, switching works without problems.
- Movies in MPEG format will also play other formats I have not tested.
- Unfortunately, only English and Italian menu, with English one comes but easily cope.
- Teletext is super fast and easy to read.
- The EPG is made somewhat awkward but very informative. When recording the information obtained from the EPG to be taken.
- Pretty small and slim device, very quiet, almost noiseless DVD mode!
(DVBT watch in good quality, HDMI is not necessary to record regularly for the children's series and from time to watch a movie on an external hard drive and play DVDs) All in all a great device for our needs.
Because of fiddly remote control and the somewhat complicated menu lacking German language there a star deduction.
Addendum of 03 May 2012:
After a short time I wanted to return the unit, as it no longer recorded at appropriate times, but did what it wanted. The merchant replied promptly and has now agreed to take back the thing for credit. Then I found, however, the solution: The connected USB hard drive was still the former king receiver in FAT 32 formatted (which could otherwise), the partition was also very large. So I have a smaller partition (60GB now, previously 400GB) reformatted to NTFS, since there are no more problems and I will keep the device first. Larger partitions probably go well, I think it is really to the file system, even if the manufacturer indicates that both works. If everything goes further, I'm super happy and want no other device.
