I've never been to Venice and yet I already feel good to know, by dint of reading the novels of Donna Leon. What I like in these is that they show less eternal Serenissima, the tourists and postcards, as the Venice daily, whose population is facing the same problems as everywhere Furthermore, and where the same way crime can arise at any moment. For this 18th survey of our friendly commissario Brunetti, the usual qualities are with go: engaging characters, plot ... that intrigues and writing who knows to time offer us beautiful digressions without breaking the wire suspense. What to spend a good few hours in the company of dear Guido!
