I write really rare reviews. But this marvel of technology has clearly deserves !!!
So I had until recently (only) a Fritz box 7390. This was recommended to me by a colleague who is reportedly very happy with it. I can not confirm that, unfortunately. My 7390 I have very quickly taken to their limits ... unfortunately. The plan was for me that in the whole house, I have good Wi-Fi reception that several devices can use this same time and I have unlimited access to my Synology DS213 + have with all data and multimedia files. The Fritzbox 7390 was quickly overwhelmed and the very first day, I realized that it (there are 8 with me) had problems not only with the amount of equipment, but also that your wireless network to another floor was too weak deeper good reception to guarantee. On my Panasonic TV one floor below, I could not play MPEG4 or MKV files smoothly ... it was just bad.
Disappointed, I was looking for a solution ... and found them in the ASUS RT-AC66U. That part is really amazing. It is super easy to configure. I now just put him behind the Fritzbox and he now works as an access point. Wi-Fi in the Fritz box, I naturally turned off. It was necessary also not great settings. During setup, you were on the type of use required (which also Access Point) was to select. I've then chosen ... and the router has all changed himself (his IP adapted) and already ran the part. So even for any beginner the router is well configured.
Now briefly to transmit power. I can only say ... everything works perfectly. Where once the Fritz box had 7390 problems ... marched today through the ASUS Stahlbetondecken. Although I have measured no values ... but I can say, also the Panasonic TV now plays smoothly without problems MPEG4 and MKV files. Even 3D material transmits the router smoothly through reinforced concrete. That's how it should be.
Negative me is so far still nothing noticed. So very strong buy recommendation.
