Pioneer N-50A DAC

Amazon had delivered me as planned ... great.

A DAC is a file format converter that connects a computer, a server, hard drive or memory stick ..
to an amplifier to listen to music stored in digital format.

The front, brushed aluminum is pretty, but a lot of wasted space which loses a small LCD display.
The rollover is any but solid steel, the unit is quite heavy and quality appears.

Dac It does not connect an external hard drive or formatted NTFS drive, or exFAT,
but only FAT16 and FAT32> shame on time NTFS !!!
Unable to connect with me to this DAC 'file server' PC running XP SP3,
to search the file from the DAC, but possible to send playback from the PC to the DAC.
This method of using the DAC (playback from the PC) will be the preferred mode of operation.

The pull-down menus on the LCD are extremely nullity.

Liaison and Research radios lines is excellent; except again for the path through the menus.
The remote control is very ergonomic:
60 radio favorites at most and bookmarking buttons and recall favorite and awkwardly placed so far on the remote.

The sound quality is good, but really is not the expected level because my Realtek sound card to the PC comes out better sound quality and 5.1 instead of stereo only !!!

When one wants to read a USB stick or external drive, always call the function on the remote control first before you branch on the DAC otherwise go undetected.

I did not hear any difference to listening to the audio sensible functions improve quality: Direct, ASR, ALC, HI-bits32, UP Sampling.
Spotify has not been tested because it is a function with paid subscription; IPOD and iPhone functions either, because I do not have those arranged objects.

I myself am not connected with optic connections or coaxial cable, only RJ45 and USB.
