Have here a ASUS Z97 Deluxe Board, which unfortunately has only PCIe slots. Property me this adapter risen to still be able to operate an ASUS Xonar HDAV Slim sound card - but that did not work. The card was recognized and the driver could be installed, but the sound was totally noisy. Have the adapter tries in various slots - but unfortunately without success

I'm assuming that the adapter otherwise determined properly is serving, but with the above soundcard just not.
Adapters my opinion, suitable only for cards with low-profile slot bracket, since it otherwise very shaky sits in the slot.
