Here the main advantages for me:
+ Very easy and quick set-up (incl. Network access).
+ Intuitive.
+ Fast start and reading of Blu-rays / DVDs.
+ Very good picture and sound quality.
+ Barely audible drive noise.
+ Excellent quality with upscaling of DVDs to HD level.
+ Supports many video and audio formats - material can be played back via USB, media or via network streaming.
Has when the player via a network cable (not included) to the network / Internet connected - + Lots of useful online services.
Real disadvantages not the device in my view. But I would like to note some points that might interfere with one or the other but:
- Unfortunately, there is no SD card slot - so could be looked at from the digital camera directly to the TV images.
- The operating language must be set each time in German again when you remove your device from the power - important to know if one disconnects the system daily using a power strip from the mains.
- As with technical devices of this type unfortunately become common practice, is no HDMI cable.
- Wireless Internet access is only possible via a USB wireless stick or you decide directly for the slightly higher (but more expensive) model BDP-S590.
The bottom line is an absolutely recommendable Blu-ray player at an affordable price.
