What can the adapter now, anyway? He offers four connection options:
- A standard USB port
- A Micro USB port
- A slot for SD cards
- A slot for Micro SD cards
If you connect the adapter to the Tablet, the successful connection and operational readiness is indicated by a small green LED on the top. The adapter will be detected immediately, no installation is required.
About the standard USB port I have successively connected and tried both a keyboard and a mouse. Both are recognized automatically and are immediately ready for their normal functions. Above all, the story with the mouse excites me, moves the operation with a tablet yet so very in the direction of a laptop, especially when it comes to office work. It is also not so bad that you can connect only one USB device to the adapter always. To Tap I then use a parallel keyboard that I connect via Bluetooth with your tablet. Great thing that makes working and also protects the display.
Of course, can also be connected USB sticks for the import or export of images, videos or files over the standard USB port.
As an amateur photographer do for me completely new possibilities. When I'm with my DSLR and tablets go, I can read the same spot the memory card with the adapter and carry on the tablet a first sighting of the results and not only at home or on the mini-screen of the camera. Nice that you can also connect an external reader other than those mentioned memory card formats to the adapter. This should then have covered all possible formats.
If you directly use the two slots for memory cards, offered by the adapter, you should be careful how intercalates the cards. The micro SD cards are inserted with the contacts facing down, the normal SD card or adapter with the contacts facing up.
What the Micro USB port to be used has not yet opened up to me. Shop you can about the tablet that is not there and you always anyway, only one device can connect at once, doing here really does not make sense. Then I might as well use the connector on the tablet directly. Perhaps I overlooked simply something ...
A word about the quality of workmanship and for general use: The adapter is simple but well made and extremely light. If you have infected him, but one should be careful not to damage the micro USB connector on the tablet, because you're just not used to having something connected to the tablet. Especially pressure from above or below could be fatal, side protects the general design of the adapter.
Note, then the set-up position on the tablet with adapter. Either you put it down, or is it enabled "Rotate screen" position at the head and work with it.
Overall, this is a great accessory for my Tablet that uses but greatly expanded and facilitates work. Anyway, I'm confident and enthusiastic about the small adapter. The price-performance ratio, I feel, given the donated surplus value as well. That's me then 5 star and worth a buy recommendation.
