Keep I have a few tests to Icemoon / no-name Bluetooth speakers on the go, as well as Philips AEA2500 for home.
As a player serving a laptop Acer V5 (both built-in Bluetooth and apt-X-capable USB stick) and a Sony Xperia ZL.
Compare Icemoon copy to Trust Jukebar (+ Bose SoundLink Mini):
Bass:
Jukebar little stronger, but overrides fast / jumping around. Icemoon sounds pleasantly round, overrides even at maximum volume barely audible, but regulates the Bass down. Bose SoundLink Mini both can not match, the bass is incredible for the size.
Height:
Jukebar sounds a bit overcast / dull, exaggerated SoundLink Mini. Icemoon like best me
Service:
Although Icemoon and Jukebar look identical, the Icemoon has two clear advantages: The upper keys are used not only to the volume control, but also enable a remote control of the playback device for play, pause, track forward and track back. When Jukebar went with me only play / pause and volume up / down. In Icemoon you have for down / up longer hold back / forward button. Second advantage: the charging socket on the back is in Icemoon microUSB and thus corresponds to the smartphone standard. The Jukebar has miniUSB, so either an additional USB cable or a MicroUSB to miniUSB adapters are needed.
Coverage:
Contrary to the previous review of Icemoon my copy has a very good range. At least a little further and more stable than the Trust Jukebar. But this also has a fully satisfactory performance. Since I've seen much worse (eg Sure Hifi equipment with crashes at 2m).
Running Time:
I have the equipment not enough tested long to exhaust the batteries fully, but according to the Jukebar reviews this holds more than 15 hours. Here the Icemoon clearly at a disadvantage, after about 4 hours at a higher volume, the battery empty warning begins. If you can sprinkle only shallow, there is certainly a lot more. Particularly annoying: When the battery is empty, you will hear the Icemoon often a loud, very annoying beep. There remains only: Turn off and / or charge. For most occasions 4h but fully sufficient for an extended celebration I have eh a Power Bank (PowerGen Duo-Power 8400mAh) to provide phone and speaker. So you can also celebrate days.
Processing:
Jukebar and Icemoon are visually practically identical, both high-quality workmanship and with the necessary vibration-damping weight for a strong sound speakers (perhaps at least in Icemoon by metal weights inside the foot, at the Trust Jukebar reaches the larger battery for weighting).
Packing:
The Icemoon was delivered in a printed cardboard box that Jukebar in a plastic box with an additional cardboard box for the accessories. Pure cardboard is environmentally friendly, said, ordered online and delivered by DHL probably barely consequence in electrical gadgets)
Line-Out: Jukebar and Icemoon sound good and certainly fully acceptable for most users on the audio output. Since I have at home a quality amplifier with matching speakers, but I wanted to get the most and have therefore retained the apt-X enabled Philips AEA2500 receiver. This can always be at the amplifier while the Icemoon go / bathroom / in the kitchen is.
Rest: The Icemoon has separate relatively loud sounds when switching on and connect /, which can not be unfortunately on or off. When Jukebar these are quieter and thus less disturbing. Since you but turns on the speaker for Tonabspielen and combines, this is just a minor nuisance.
Summary: Apparently Jukebar and Icemoon despite the identical appearance not identical, but have different Bluetooth receiver, batteries and probably also speakers. Because of the better price / performance ratio and the advantages (forward / back buttons, micro-USB charging connector, Adaptive Bass Control) is for me the Icemoon the clear winner of the comparison.
