I want / you describe to you here my experience with the iClever 6-Port USB Charger with SmartID technology.
It is a so-called multiport Wall Charger, so a USB charger with multiple ports.
The delivery of my black copy was located next to the charger itself only a very compact power plug (therefore well suited for multiple sockets) and a well-understandable short manual in English.
A micro-USB charging cable is not available, what I think is a pity given the intended use.
Not everyone has to load a suitable cable is available to its smartphones or tablets, especially if the original device has a power plug is firmly connected to the charger cable.
The unit is 10cm long, 8.5cm high and 2.5cm wide and thus only slightly larger than a pack of cigarettes.
It weighs only 172 grams, so it is well suited for mobile application to use it for example on a holiday hotel, on the train or at work.
The surface is completely made of a matte black plastic. This feels soft and is not nearly as vulnerable as the just so hip glossy plastics attract dust and fingerprints magically.
On the front above a small green LED that indicates the operation is.
Among the 6 USB charging ports are attached.
The power cord is plugged in at the back.
With this arrangement, I'm not so happy, because you have to lie down the equipment anyway, since it is easy to standing wobbly and falling over.
As you would in my opinion better to equip one of the two flat sides with foam rubber stoppers to placing the unit comfortable and stable can.
The great advantage of this charger are the six available simultaneously charging ports.
So you can for example simultaneously charge a tablet, a Navi and four smart phones.
The annoying replugging of mains plugs and sockets eliminates blocking of several so completely.
The maximum simultaneous output at 5V is all together at 6 ports 10A, that is the equivalent 50 watt.
Each port can deliver a maximum of 2.4A to charge very high powered devices such as tablets and high-end smart phones quickly.
The six ports are incidentally all equipped with the so-called SmartID technology, an intelligent charging current detection that adapts to each of the connected device.
In addition there will be a handshake between the two devices and optimally the charger then feeds the customers with the maximum possible load values.
In theory, therefore, should not cause any loss of time loading compared to the original chargers of manufacturers.
This I was able to confirm in practice, loading works well.
Both my grade 3, my S5, a Moto G2 and a Galaxy Tab 10.5 S was loaded as usual quickly.
This is not an appreciable heat generation was observed.
However, I have heard during the loading operations a very quiet high-frequency buzzing.
However, this is audible only at close range and when listening very carefully with good ears.
Again positive worth mentioning, however, the very low standby power consumption of just 0.1 watts, which I found to be a Brennenstuhl meter
I am technically so in sum very pleased with this charger and would like to give the full 5 stars for it.
However, since similar products are partially one or two euros cheaper the price / performance ratio in my opinion is a little room for improvement.
Therefore, I give the overall balance good 4 stars.
I hope this review could assist you in your buying decision ...
