The Motorola X (2014) is in a very unassuming white packaging, not even a on a photo, the device is displayed. Front is only the Motorola logo and a rear nameplate. The build quality is top and the design very chic. I knew so far yes no other smartphone and am really surprised at how high the Moto X feels. Physical keys, there is only an on / off switch and a volume control. The lack of a home button for me was initially a bit strange, but now I feel that as very positive. Only criticism is perhaps the mono speaker, here I would have liked a stereo speaker.
What struck me right in the first minute, the speed of the phone. Even my iPhone 5S, which I found so far compared to other devices of friends and acquaintances as fast is slow, however. Judder there are not, apps load extremely fast and every animated gimmick of the operating system runs smoothly. Here I am very pleasantly surprised.
The camera is really in bright light top and must not hide behind the iPhone. Photos are crystal clear, sharp, have a great color reproduction and the clever Motorola camera app does the rest (eg. The OS got a terrific concept (what Google calls Material Design) and is discreet, but very chic animated. So you are constantly getting as user feedback on what you click on and where you are. That's great, is fun and stands out positively from the other producers from.
Also very positive, I like the endless capabilities of Android and the opportunity really to be able to adjust everything yourself. After more than 6 years my iPhone Moto X would not easily give up. Android is flexible, fun, is fully adjustable and the special features Motorola (voice and gesture control, camera etc.) are terrific. The build quality is top, feel super high quality and it is great in the hand. The display offers a crystal-clear image, thanks to OLED deep black and is for me outside bright enough.
Various critics have dubbed the Moto X as the best (or the best) Android phones of all time and I can only agree with that. It is an almost perfect device. I am more than satisfied and can the Moto X (2014) recommend.
