Compared to simple Petra-pad machine the WMF5 is obviously more expensive, but looks a little fancier. Programming the amount of coffee for large and small cups is but solved elegantly. In particular, the filling of the water tank, without removing it, will make better when WMF5 because you can pouring easier here. So the old Petra Water puddles are under machine to improper filling also history. In addition, the comparison unit is no longer just to get really! So what use is the great little Petra Prize? So comrades, Come not on the spot but is testing this great device as a modern alternative.
We now look forward to a long common coffee drinkers-life with the WMF5 office. This is where a month estimated 100 cups by, but when proper care they should hopefully keep long and loose their money's worth his (Petra has managed for three years, at around 12,000 cups !!!!).
The fact that the WMF5 "only" coffee boiled, was a positive decision point for us because no milk containers or pipes need to be cleaned. In a community that consists of 80% of men, this is not a disadvantage.
On the subject of cleaning and filtering: The chlorine filter the Petra are exactly the same with those of the WMF! And the good old Durgol pad machine descaling agents will keep our new WMF5 always nice lime-free. You do not necessarily always follow the profiteering of the manufacturer and buy the proper products. A regular descaling should nevertheless the life of the machine and of course, a consistent quality of the coffee obtained (which has proven itself in the old Petra).
