I have the pad now about 1.5 years and it is one of the best buying decisions of accessories that I have ever met.
The build quality is solid, the rotatable Cyborg module really great because you can choose depending on the game, whether you prefer to use the stick or the directional pad. The cable is slightly longer than that of my original GameCube pads, which is a bit too long and for a console, depending on the floor plan if necessary something is too short for a desktop PC is more than enough for a laptop.
But as I evaluate the pad 4 and not 5 stars, and even a few things need to be negative:
The directional pad leads me mixed feelings. On the one hand it is really precise, on the other hand I have to give the "torturer" titled review in so far right that it can do already hurt when the Cross is working more than playing, said unequivocally to the own habits lies. When you get used to it, not to rub on the cross, but only to change the pressure, but this is no longer a problem.
At the end of the cable are two plugs, which annoys some. A replaceable plugs I would have preferred. So I have constantly the urge to cut the fat Playsation plug.
The advertised programming software not included. You have to download on cyborggaming.com. Driver I have not used against me, so no idea what the download should be good. The pad works anyway without the software.
Identifies the key dissolves relatively easily. The gray triangle is gone, while again in red "4" is on the same key and that's still there.
I once tried to connect the pad via an adapter on my GameCube. That did not work. No idea if the pad is the guilt or adapter ... it was in any case not more once I had pressed a few buttons.
So, that was my review. A few extra info I want to give anyway:
1.) Since Saitek bought some time ago by Mad Catz, the product specification is no longer correct here!
The part is now called Cyborg V.3 Rumble Pad (the PS1000 V.1 now).
Accordingly, it now applies to downloads cyborggaming.com and not on the website of Saitek.
2.) There is also an Xbox 360 pad (Cyborg V.5), which has a different pad. But costs again 'nen 10er more. I've not tried it, but maybe you can even also use the Cyborg module from the V.5 V.3.
3.) the meaning of PC-PS-switch I did not understand. On my PC the pad also works when the switch is in the PlayStation. If you press the switch in the game, the game can rumspinnen.
