The Jamos do their job really well for a low price in the tower speaker.
Jamo goes one way, I really want to support:
Offer a well-made factory product at a reasonable price.
Especially when it comes to hi prices have at times extremely exaggerated. Sound and belief cheer prices through the roof and the margins can be explained by little, what is of course trying anyway.
Of course, there are dozens of speakers on the market that sound a lot better than the Jamos, but at a low price, these are not going to get.
But back to S 626th
Now, after about 70 hours break time and tens of sampled positions and calibrations in my room I'm quite satisfied with the purchase.
The bass is slightly raised and the tweeter enjoys playing in the foreground.
Depending on the songs / recording quality that can sometimes sound really good but also full go in the pants.
The speakers, all sounds really top notch with the will, are just never invented.
All in all quite pleasing to the sound. The basses could be a bit dry for my taste.
Tricky was the right preparation. Close to the wall liked the Jamos not like and also near furniture should have some distance. By lateral bass was to make even more effort to Jamos because the speaker exchanged (Bass Outside Inside Bass) were on each position course and then remeasure. They are now quite far in space, almost 1m away from the wall.
Of course, it is an easier way, but who wants to have the optimum, the work and the Erklärungsnot towards the partner / partner's what you have to look for the speaker in the middle of the floor.
This does not mean that the Jamos generally not wall and can be placed möbelnah or play there absolutely useless, of course. In my room, the distribution of the root when installing close to the wall was not so great and of course exactly at my listening position went the bass lost - 1 / 2m higher, ie standing, they were again very well in order. Therefore always experiment a bit - every room has its peculiarities.
I made me even bother and a Youtube channel opened at a high load of the video gambling Jamos - as they are currently "must". (Partner ...) The recording of the phone is not the best, but I think as a small direction where the journey with the Jamos's going is okay. Unfortunately, I can not put a link here, but if you're looking for Jamo S 626 you will have the one or other interesting video and one probably. My White found. In the video comes across well that the bass set up close to the wall a little more emerges in my room and the minimal drone tends towards the free-standing. As written - experimenting - Each spinal alignment and has a direct impact.
For use in the home theater, I recommend despite adequate fullness of Jamos use a subwoofer. Listening to music is this nonsense, but with movies brings the lowest frequency cellar with the necessary emphasis simply more fun.
Try: If you nothing is missing, you also lacks a subwoofer. As simple as that. ;)
Personal to purchase:
I have spent many years with the purchase of new speakers. The journey went from the usual industry giants to small retailers and by many living rooms of friends and their acquaintances and acquaintances of acquaintances. Times impressive, sometimes informative, sometimes redundant, sometimes misinformed and sometimes amusing, I listened from the self-made tube with self-built speakers on the commercial product up in the high-end range much and was not smart what I want now. To complete confusion I read me yet right across the Internet, eg by reviews like mine here (Well, you know what you want to have?), And then I eventually on the reviews of the Jamo S 608 and encountered this on the S 606 , My interest was piqued because of the appearance and the many praises and not least because of the price.
December 2014, I was then sorry - I wanted to buy at last. Still not a bit smarter in relation to the speakers I have then first set a budget of a maximum of 1000 and made a pre-selection. This preselection went to the partner and this felt the Jamo S 626 in do well as the lesser evil, and I bet she has looked at the price. Yes, the Jamo is ultimately a ladies' choice! A good choice. :)
This review could be just in this form probably under a Klipsch, a Nubert, a devil, a Canton, a Heco or stand in a DIY forum, because I have not heard of in all those years: a bad speaker.
The journey through the realm of audiophiles (Do you know Audiophobe?) Was also rather a journey through the psyche of our people for me. The self farmer who overheard his work with pride (When I cook tastes to me whatsoever), the high-end buyer who alone by the equivalent in Euro knows that he has the best of the best and generally speaking their own satisfaction the various speakers owners with their purchases. Brand, advertising, opinions, tests, experience, price range, appearance, size etc etc - but the sound characteristics does not move us to buy.
Last paragraph for those interested without Google will:
Jamo is a global selling Danish company and is part of the Klipsch Group. This is one of VOXX International, a publicly traded US companies. To VOXX International brands include Oehlbach, Heco, Magnat, Klipsch, MacAudio and Schwaiger.
All buyers a lot of fun - of course up at!
