the connection of an Apple TV box to an older LCD TV with VGA input went smoothly. Have previously a HDMI to analog converter used, but the returns is significantly worse and after a short time got problems with the sound. Had this adapter cable actually bought out of curiosity and it had now perforce exchange for the defective converter and behold, the result was way better than the (much more expensive) box, and also HDCP was not a problem. All content of Apple TV are displayed on the analog PC input of LDC TV's and Apple Airplay works flawlessly. I would recommend this highly enough Adapter.
