Pro:
+ It is great in the hand thanks to the lower weight
+ High quality thanks to the aluminum frame
+ Despite the theoretically weak processor, the operating system is running smoothly and fluently
+ Significantly lower heat generation
+ Battery lasts much longer
+ Reduced weight
+ Better speakers
+ Replaceable Battery
+ SD card slot
Cons:
- Internet Explorer freezes felt a little more often
- The micro-USB connector on the top is & is not sitting as the Lumia 920 below, I find somewhat impractical, especially in Navi in-car use
The main reason for the change was to be able to store everything you need externally especially the SD card slot.
Sure, there are OneDrive, but there I have unfortunately experienced a nasty surprise.
I have everything backed up by the Lumia 920 in the cloud. When you first set up the Lumia 830 I have everything "restored" to me.
Start screen was again just like the Lumia 920, all Apps + contacts were back.
BUT: Photos completely gone, half the ringtones were also gone, though backed up!
Conclusion: I'm almost desireless happy with the 830. The price was 313, - really strong.
