Installation:
Went so far as no problems. The first positive here: the manufacturer has his antenna connector and the microphone input of an additional extension cord donated what offers enough space for laying the cable. For me the antenna cable always slipped without something from what no longer is the case here. That did not each radio.
Accessories:
Only the one with enclosed Atennenstecker (about 5) is not something bad.
This requires a manual here which is unfortunately often be found today only on CD.
A DAB Antennne you have to buy it or a splitter.
In operation:
1. Sound:
The sound is absolutely amazing! Clearly and without distortion! I've never thought that a radio can do much without power amp. Thanks to the MOS-FET amplifier 4X30 nominal power, this and play my old Panasonic 4X22W 4X15W Alpine loose on the wall. This can drive speakers with no problems 13-13.5 cm or 16.5 cm 55-60W 35-45W RMS RMS. Approximately 20-30 VOL. with or without option Loud 1 are possible. An Alpine here creates only 14-16 VOL. max.
Sound Options: JVC offers many setting possibilities.
How Easy EQ (bass, middle, treble knob -6 +6 dB)
EQ presets (profiles as Flat, Rock, Pop, etc.)
EQ Pro (width of bass, middle, treble) and frequencies changes. Unfortunately, at the heights is the broad set to "Fixed"
which is a shame because this provides as Alpine starting at 99 Euro full access 0.75 and 1.25.
Loud 1 + 2 (increase bass and treble) an option that pays off auzuprobieren when you have no power amp and still want to have more bass at low volume without distorting. With 200Hz Bass and 1.5 in width and 4-5 dB bass well usable.
DT EXP: Nice feature that but probably worth only with power amplifier. Here are the songs Compressed were polished mp3 example again.
The bass treble were with me a little better so for but worse. Here you should just try it but it is worth it.
Bass Boost (only bass boost)
Speakerphone:
Thanks to the Bluetooth Version 2.1 can be at this radio older devices such as a Samsung GTS5230 thus operate which is not possible at the manufacturer Alpine since this only supports V3.0 devices.
The disadvantage is the need for the coupling longer what is going faster in V3.0.
about 1-2 minutes at 2.1 10-20 sec. in V3.0
Despite all of this is the connection otherwise unless you have a problem. Calls also works just fine. I myself put my microphone to his shirt or shirt so that I reach a best possible voice quality for phoning me or I call.
Here the JVC also offers additional options such as ring tones, echo reduction, noise reduction, etc.
One thing I find unfortunate is that the icon for the Bluetooth connection is on the small side. (Small telephone handset on the display) Here I would have liked a display as in Alpine. So you can see better if the device is connected.
Lighting:
These can be adapted wonderfully of red green or blue to even mixed colors. Also a nice feature that you can use is the day night cycles. With the lights out the Bleuchtung changes as red and turned on the light to blue. For a call you can then also choose a color. This can thus light up alternately also vary.
Radio:
Despite the a specialist told me Kennwood radios still have better reception this creates the same radio reception performance how old Panasonic and unlike Alpine even slightly better.
A great feature here is the Interfrenece mode makes it possible to filter out the adjacent frequencies interfere with the FM transmitter reception.
Too bad that unfortunately only 5 station keys are available. Most radios have 6 preset buttons here.
Who wants to listen to DAB reasonably should rely instead on the splitter prefer a window antenna or a completely upgraded antenna back. The splitter has little Empfangssträrke what is not on the radio.
USB: The radio helps me USB V1.1, 2.0, 3.0 to 32GB and has been run as far without problems. Songs are times in full length
even with file viewer.
Things missing:
The guide menu of the radio is unfortunately only English speaking. Here, for example, Alpine offers eg German and other languages in addition to yet.
In the manual, not at all options verünftige details are discussed such as LOUD 1 + 2 which which raises much of the two.
Only a scrolling menu for playback. Here Alpine offers 2 options. The conventional or via display.

Conclusion:
For 160 euros you still get a good sound and a previously reliable car radio. Despite the small drawbacks but they are not serious, the JVC KD-DB95BT is impressive for the money.
Therefore, 4 star and a strong buy recommendation !!!
Will the assessment still something verbesssern still wish all a lot of fun with this radio)
