I have the radio now installed in a Golf 4 with original boxes and am satisfied.
INSTALLATION:
With a little Youtube to get it back. Plug devices are already on the typical confusion of Baterie Pins from VW and others on the wiring harness available. After 2 seconds, that's done. (Googling what the host vehicle needs)
About phantom power I've been thinking, the unit operate but first without. FM rushes minimal in Berlin's city center, but was still too curious degree it without testing.
OPERATION:
fast & intuitive. You can limit the "sources / source" in 2: Bluethooth and FM. There's really good, because I need only two. AUX and AM I switched. CD is automatically recognized and USB as well. The latter I use only my phone to charge. Bluetooth makes the music here. The annoying key tone can be determined off.
BT: 2 handsets connected in parallel. I also have a business phone so I can hear calls from both, but the music played by the private. Without looking you will find the button to accept.
FREE SPEECH:
You can hear the caller very well, the one but very tinny and unclear how ne old speakerphone from 10 years ago.
Who knows Installed at the factory, which is the difference soon notice. By giving short demands and ne shopping list is no problem, but long chatting on lonely road trips I would save me so. The Mic is external and must be installed. I was there pretty lazy and did it just in the center console in storage vebaut (no cables dangling around, and it is relatively close to the mouth). The wrench of you find there ne better solution. If you parked and gets out and the radio off, the call automatically switches to mobile phones.
Optional remote control:
Nobody needs. Do not buy. This goes well with the right hand without looking.
COLOR:
Yes 30,000 variants. 3 areas depending on the RGB channels to 30 height positions (channel Red, Green, Blue). I have put myself in the sun and something taken what one can read as well.
LANGUAGE:
There are only in English and Russian, instructions are in German.
But English is not a problem, because everything used eh Germans used. Only the SRC does the abbreviation for source / source, you can even look up in the manual.
IRIS:
You can take them off. A case does not exist.
CONCLUSION: Good radio, even in standard boxes, easier installation, Bluetooth does its job well, colors can be adjusted well to the sun. One star deduction is available for the poor quality of the transmission from the Microphone.
