My previous experiences I would like to inform the interested reader:
Since the other people only experience when you burn say from my experience in reading already described blanks:
In different DVD players (I do not speak of them in the computer, special from those for the TV or the hi-fi system, I have found that in the DVD + R blanks of Platinum reading ability is better than, for example Philips or TDK -Rohlingen. Even the market leader Verbatim has its problems.
I use the following DVD player:
NoName (Centrum), Panasonic, Sony and Philips.
Panasonic and Sony show at the burned blanks the slightest problem (was with these premium brands and otherwise to be expected).
The Platinum blanks have a very low error rate in reading the players. Philips, TDK and others are equally good / bad.
Einig Sony blanks show less read errors, but are also more expensive than the very low-cost Platinum DVD + Rs.
Slightly disappointed I am by the market leader Verbatim:
They show more reading errors as Platinum (amazing!) And are less scratch resistant than Platinum (I have a two year old son, who has unfortunately already played with several blanks and the Verbatim showed after his "game" more scratches than the Platinums).
I must warn explicitly against the following manufacturers:
The often sold in supermarkets and department stores "SK" blanks are very bad. You can indeed describe well, but could not get constantly reading straight from NoName players.
Conclusion: PLATINUM (at least reading) better than its reputation !!!
