Odor / Nosing: you opened the bottle and poured a glass, you can smell in the first place the very dominant peat smoke. In addition, however also occur salty, jodige but also sweet fruit aromas.
Taste / Tasting: Taking the first sip, so you can taste the first intense peat smoke followed sweet, fruity notes, but also a strong spice. The overall flavor is very complex and is constantly finding new flavors.
Finish Finish: Even in the finish that lasts a long time, is very intense. You can taste a very long time the powerful smoke.
Conclusion:
The 16 year old Lagavulin whiskey is well known among friends and is appreciated by many. Who does not know this single malt, should have absolutely tried it once. The Lagavulin 16 years for many years is already one of my favorite whiskey. In my circle of friends does not share any my enthusiasm, because its strong flavor is not to everyone's liking. You either love him or you already after opening the bottle enough. Personally, I prefer now to 12-year-old Lagavulin at cask strength. If you have diluted it with some water, then its flavors are compatible not quite as strong and for me. The flavors of the 16 years are significantly stronger and more noticeable.
I hope to have helped you with my product review something. If you have any suggestions, criticism or suggestions, please write me. For the excellent Malt I can safely give it 5 stars.
