Supplement v. 10.25.2014
In addition to inexpensive kit lenses 16-50 and 55-210 (at the top of quite dark, I first had the Zeiss Touit 32mm f / 1.8 (as a normal focal length) and the Sony 18-105 f / 4 G.

All are highly recommended and well worth the money. The 55-210 I have grown to the A6000 and A7R. It makes me very sharp images, especially at 70mm, the supreme area will be softer, but is still top class. Fringing as the Tamron makes it as good as any. This kit lens has only one weakness: The brightness is f / 6.3 in bad weather / interiors very scarce.

Then I tried the Adapter LA-LE4 concerned and various Tamron. The cheap at 160 euros can be forgotten, so you can not use the AF.
Not so with the beautiful 16-300 with Piezo Drive (650 online price).
However, were sharpness and brightness at the top of not really good and there was plenty of Milka-CA to contrast edges, even in rainy weather!
I have also tried this lens on my A7R: Exactly the same. So back it because the 650 euros I will prefer to invest in a Zeiss SEL-2470Z with continuous f / 4 full frame. But if you want an ever-top lens has the Tamron 16-300 is a pretty good and sturdy thing, but not for low-light and must not be so picky about the sharpness at both ends.

The 18-105 I want to keep. 105 mm is of course not grandiös but on KB are converted in the A6000 almost 160 mm and therefore you can start a lot, especially at f / 4.0.
In my experience, this Sony lens that RD. 250 cheaper than the Tamron 16-300, a better use value, it has no weaknesses, is lighter and faster, and is currently connected to my 7r.
I would always recommend this top-500 Euro-lens as a main lens. If money is over, then look at Zeiss.

With the A6000 to snap away is not a cheap pleasure. When A7R it gets worse.
Therefore, I hear time being at 105mm (160 KB) on, or at 210mm f / 6.3 with the kit when the light is OK.
Currently, I am of the opinion that a Sony FE 70-200 F4 G OSS or Sigma 70-200 mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM brings not enough simply for the money - especially when compared with the very low-cost, solid 55-210 , Unfortunately seduces A7R to very good (and very expensive) lenses to buy, hoping (or forced) to grow for a camera of superlatives appropriate optics.
The A6000, however, is modest and replaced with me largely an expensive A7.
When you consider that a A7R housing is loose 3 x more expensive than an A6000, A6000 then provides the much more per Euro. The extra pixels are probably there, but not always sooo much and mostly visible only with a magnifying glass or enlargements on the screen. The other advantage is the full-frame, a little more wide-angle, brightness and a slightly less noise.
But the A6000 can also things that can not a A7R.

For Action, the A6000 is excellent, to the fast Zeiss Touit 32mm f / 1.8 and the Sony 18-105 f / 4.0.

However, the A6000 does not replace any A7R and vice versa:
Domain of A7R: Landscape, Architecture, Portraits: Yes!
Wild, remote Pets: No, too expensive! In addition, it is when you start very slow and very loud.

Domain of A6000: action and actually everything!

If there is to be very far, then I reach for Lumix FZ1000, it makes the most detailed pictures in the remote area. Yet on it goes with the HX400V. It spends most of clean focal length for the money. Such details of distant objects can not deliver a 4,000 Euro A7R combination.
If you ask me which camera offers the most for the money, then I would call the currently FZ1000. It is more flexible than the A6000 with the SEL18105G, less expensive and their zoom is sufficient for every situation.

Supplement v 07/14/2014:. Operating in the Dark
Last weekend I used 3 cameras at a ceremony in the garden with a campfire afterwards.:
- An Olympus Stylus 1 SH-1 with built-in lens
- A Canon EOS M with kit lens 15-55mm
- A Sony Alpha 6000 with Zeiss 32mm f / 1.8
I will not report here on the Olympus and Canon, the Canon in good light (late afternoon) often unfocused wrong and loose 40% Committee produced what has me very upset because this cam furthermore also work rather slowly. Since she has but cost only 299 euros and if they are true, the pictures very nice, I'll keep it, but for snapshots, it is not the right tool. Almost half of all faces, situations, children playing, running around dogs etc. I wanted to capture with it are out of focus.

The new Sony made first for irritation, because she was incorrectly set, produced color negatives and with Verzögerungsauflöser 10s snapped. This in itself is not bad, but we did not succeed at first in the dark switch the camera correctly. Only the next day I have to delve me with her and properly configured as it should be.
That night, the camera went in the dark through many hands of experienced and Profifotorafen and of course there was a lot of it, "playing around" and adjusted. But none of those concerned had the right experience with Sony Alpha, so you could not really be put into production when it mattered, as opposed to the other by me or other guests brought equipment.

I mean to say that the Sony A6000 makes a fantastic camera at a sensational price is, but precisely because it is so versatile and has many controls, they can only use reasonable considering intensively engaged before use in order or which is no device that can be taken out of the closet and the same on the fly that does what you would expect, just because you have experience with numerous cameras and believes these instructions not to read.

Apart from this, the previous images with the Zeiss 16-55mm Kit or the absolute top class !!!
You heard in my Hall of Fame alongside my Fuji X-T1, X-Pro 1, Olympus OMD-EM10, Nikon D7100, Lumix GX7 and GH3.

Supplement v 08/07/2014:. Strangers lenses to Sony E-Mount / Sony Alpha 6000th

Yesterday I adapter NEX / NIK, fresh from the production directly from Novoflex received (169 with shipping).
The Novoflex adapter also has no built-in visor, but outside a blue iris ring which mechanically controls the aperture of the lens and that is a small black metal tongue moved to a few mm inside the adapter.
I have a Nikon lens without an aperture ring first the AFS DX 55-200mm 1: 4-5.6 ED VR and uses it work: When you look through the lens, then opens and closes the blue ring, the aperture of the lens.
The practical test ran without any problems, the relatively low resolution of the viewfinder is not designed to focus comfortably, but you get used to it quickly.
In particular, the brightness (with crosswalk) and reasonably the depth of field (enabled with edge enhancement) are well represented in the viewfinder.
The Nikon DX 55-200 lens is not a peak, but sharpness and brightness are to the edge in order, even at maximum aperture.
At 200mm, 1/200 s, HDR, outdoor shots, very overcast sky (just before the rain shower), semi-closed diaphragm and precise focusing (which is not always succeeds) were results achieved with superior sharpness. For example, were some pine needles in rd. 60-70 meters resolved very clean. When uniformly bright gray sky, a slight vignetting top left and right. But this is noticeable only when uniformly bright Hintergrung and look carefully.
As far as they were able, I found the results significantly better than the same shots with a premium camera with 2/3 "or 1 / 1.7" sensor and lens of the native 400 Euro class.
Not only in terms of focus, but especially because these cameras try to cover up usually by artificial increase of contrast and color, the weaknesses of the smaller sensor.

My Conclusion:
If you have Nikon or Canon lenses, it is worth it to the Sony to use A6000, either with the Metabones adapter (without iris control) or with the 60 euros more expensive Novoflex Adapter NEX / NIK (with iris control). Both are processed accurately, installation and removal are absolutely no problem.
Manual operation of the foreign lenses requires some practice because you EXACT / optimum focus on the point exactly at first can not easily assess in the viewfinder of the A6000.
This manual operation is absolutely suitable for landscape, portrait and silent scene shots, because you can take your time and provides an interesting and unproblematic challenge that is well supported by the 6000 Alpha. Optimal images are not immediately achievable. It takes time, patience and practice. If the images match the expectations immediately, but that is not at the Alpha 6000 still on the lenses but to some false parameters or camera shake.

For action scenes, however, is the use of external lenses, especially in the telephoto range, a fairly hopeless projects, the rejection rate (especially at the telephoto end) should be between 60-100% and as native or Sony Zeiss lenses are mE highly advisable or indispensable.

Supplement v 06/26/2014:. Strangers lenses to Sony E-Mount / Sony Alpha 6000th

I have flanged and tried in the last few days my Nikon lenses on the Sony A6000.
First Across the Metabones Adapter N / F - E-mount (this adapter has neither own nor an aperture Blendensteurung):

The funktionnierte quite well with old lenses for full frame. Iris and focus must be adjusted manually on the lens.
At the G-lenses for DX was not so good because they have no aperture ring. It is therefore impossible to adjust the aperture, although the images were not over- or underexposed, because the Alpha can übernehmmen 6000 ISO and shutter. The depth of field is uncontrollable.
I would not recommend this solution, while it is very troublesome.

The DX lenses cover the sensor of the A6000 with the figure to 100%, there are no shadows on the edge.
In all cases, the focusing is somewhat cumbersome because the viewfinder is not optimal sharp as in the Olympus OMD-EM10, but it works.

The Metabones therefore goes back and I have the EX / NIK lens adapter ordered with built-in aperture ring directly from Novoflex after consultation with the technical service.
These adapters are available in 2 different productions at different prices at Amazon:
- ASIN: B0041GCXIG
- ASIN: B004GJPBAK.
ASIN: B0041GCXIG is the old version, which is no longer produced for 3 years. But it is not disadvantageous to buy them, because only the blue iris ring was changed, otherwise both models Identical (information from Novoflex). The remainders (ASIN: B0041GCXIG) are approx. 25-30 euros cheaper.
On this occasion I clarified with Novoflex that Fuji and MFT lenses definitely can not fit Sony E-Mount. So if you, like me, different systems operate side by side, it is worth considering whether it would not Nikon, Canon or Pentax lenses buys because they (almost) all other camera systems are tillable on - but conversely not.
By the way: Nikon launches a cashback action from 01-31st July at FX and DX lenses (90-200 euros).

If you want to screw any DX lenses without aperture ring at the Sony can so calmly pick up the Metabones, saving approx. 60 euro against the latest Novoflex with iris control.
The heavy lenses burden connecting the camera, therefore attach only the adapter on the lens, then the whole thing on the camera. The Metabones is very accurate fit, assembly and disassembly done without effort.

I will present a few pictures with the customer Metabones at the Alpha 6000.
I have next to Novoflex adapter for Nikon and Pentax lenses on Fuji X-Mount and MFT cameras Quenox, kiwi and Pixco. They are also all i. O. and an exact fit.

If the Novoflex NEX / NIK lens adapter of Novoflex is there, I will report on a series of tests.
If my checkout is filled again, I also intend to procure 1 adapter for my Pentax lenses to Sony E-Mount.

Next point: Sony RX.a
I mentioned RX1 and RX10 l in my review the Sony, these cameras but do not own.
Yesterday I read at Ken Rockwell:
Since even ISO 25,600 Looks pretty good and I did set as the upper car ISO value, the RX1 will shoot at 1/80 at f / 4 at ISO 25,600 for LV 2, instead of shooting this at 1/30 at f / 2 at ISO 2,500 as I'd prefer for posed images ...
In plain language this means that the RX1 the plant is programmed incorrectly and rather goes to ridiculously high ISO values instead of using the full aperture of the Zeiss lens. In addition she also accesses at fast shutter speeds. Ken suggested that this blurring can be avoided, so as to create the impression in rich but rather unsuspecting owners that the camera shoots sharper than it actually is. That sounds logical, and I let that hang in the air, just want to avoid that some of you, fill attracted by my review for RX 1 and be disappointed.
So be careful here and prefer to check themselves what to turn this assertion is.

Compact Cameras:
Yesterday I SH-1 drafted a detailed review of the Olympus Stylus in English and set in Amazon.uk with numerous customers pictures.
A similar review, but in French I have previously placed on Amazon.fr.

Supplement v. 06.20.2014

Meanwhile, I've made a lot of pictures, only with the 15-50mm kit lens, then with the Zeiss Touit 32mm f / 1.8 and my euphoria for the Alpha has not diminished, rather the opposite.
This camera is one in my "Hall of Fame" with the Nikon D7100, Fuji X-T1 / X-Pro1, Olympus OMD EM10, Sony RX100 MII, Pentax K-30 and Lumix GX7.
I'm currently taking nothing in his hands because of details, colors and contrast at the highest level are and the high-intensity Touit I have in lowlight, is shooting with brilliant, but natural colors, especially in mode "neutral" and A. The camera better than my eyes! Voting is Sony really succeeded and the camera is worth the money, not to mention the extensive equipment without Zeifel!

My Preferences: Spot metering in the center, Neutral Colors, HDR images with minimum exposure level Mostly A mode and exposure compensation very rarely, if at all, then only the smallest stage, the light measurement funktionniert excellent, even with backlight.

I do annoy me but still about the operation.

I wish Sony would bring a successor model or A7000 to the Makt with touchscreen, the EVF of the Olympus OMD or Fuji-XT1, 3.5mm microphone port and a different architecture of the battery / card case with card on the side. Also the video button should face up because he is where he is difficult to reach and shake caused.
Even if all this would cost 200 euros more, then the Alpha would be perfect for me.

-------------------------------------------------- --------
Always anxious to bring my equipment up to date, I have done for Z. subsequent analysis.:

1- called. Full frame
Canon has with the 5D MIII a good horse in the stable, but solid and for me too expensive.
Nikon has the problem of sensor spots not under control.
Sony 's Alpha 7 and 7 R are sluggish, expensive and there is virtually no lenses. The few that exist are hugely expensive. Meanwhile, there are plenty of Alpha 7 used on ebay.
Sony RX1ist a great camera with fixed Zeiss lens, but only with fixed focal length and also mighty expensive.
Sigma Merill is too inflexible.
So I hold me back, the times for full are not ripe for me.

2. APS-C format DSLR
Something better price-performance ratio than my Nikon D7100 and Pentax K-30, there are still not Mezz. They are not only very good but also very cheap. For dustproof Pentax I have only 2 zoom, but that is a backup camera, therefore bothers me the low supply of lenses little.
I wish to invest in APSC DSLR but no longer, they are compared to Mirrorless to massive and heavy and the Sony Alpha, Lumix GH, Olympus OMD and Fuji X are with blazing speed on the rise. Therefore, these systems are the focus of my attention.

3. Micro Four Thirds
This system started a few years ago with the Olympus PEN and Lumix GH / GX series. Back then, I was like everyone skeptical because the sensor was too small (was said).
Meanwhile, I'm stuck in it up to his neck:
First came the PEN-PL3, and the Lumix GH2, the GH3, the handy GX7 and now the Olympus OMD-EM10 offers a lot for little money. In a system, there are so many good cameras for so little money and the choice of lenses is huge. My favorites: Zuiko 12-40mm f / 2.8 PRO, Leica 25mm f / 1.4 Zuiko 12mm f ,, / 2.0.
The image quality and speed are now striking.

4. FUJI X
Boarded I'm here only as the X-Pro1 was then followed by the X-T1.
Then, a lens came after the other,
The image quality and the flexibility of this system have probably hypnotized me a while downright.
... Until I realized that all this financially out of control came: The a thousand euros for the XF 56mm f / 1.2 or the XF 23mm f / 1.4 .... No! I have applied the brakes and looked around, first what you can get for that money just to check. and since I became aware of Sony.

5. Sony RX / Alpha
To Sony, Samsung and Sigma etc. I have always made a wide berth because Nikon, MFT and Fujinon have swallowed all my resources and it also offered a lot and I was (and still am) so well satisfied. While my youngest daughter got eventually a bridge camera HX100V and it was not bad, but this camera was insignificant for me. Ernst was the matter than the photo dealer I trust, who had already sold us some really good Sony camcorder, me an RX100 MII sent to trial: I have to keep them.
I could not do otherwise, because this pocket camera with Zeiss optics it has with its 20 MP quite thick behind the ears!
So I had already tasted blood, but was sensible enough to the sinfully expensive RX1, and to resist Alpha 7 and 7R. But with the RX100 MII I was Sony no longer sealed and began with Youtube videos all over the Alpha carefully watching. It came as it was to come: Like the Olympus OMD-EM10, which offers DSLR quality for 599 euros, I came very quickly to the new Alpha 6000, which also offers 24 MP and much more on DSLR-level for the same price both but half the size and half the weight and really cute!

The Alpha 6000 is certainly not the perfect camera does not exist anyway. She has no level, no controls, the operation is not professional, etc. you may have to suspend a lot, but the fact is that what image quality, autofocus, quickness, videos and some regards more, the Alpha 6000 is high and for less than 600 euros, ie 1/4 of a good full-frame DSLR (and who have not only benefits).

Well dear friends, as I groped in the Sony Alpha case. When my dealer even said that for a hundred euros, he grabs a standard lens 16-50mm to "so I can take pictures at all", I was done, and an hour later my Alpha was already traveling at DHL 6000 to me.

But that is only the beginning of the story, because the Alpha 6000 is like inkjet printers: Sony deserves probably hardly any money to the housing, but rather with the lenses, because you want the sensor and the BionX X processor ausreizen are the kit lenses not the dream team.
homo_oeconomicus put it applicable. Quote: "If you want to utilize the image quality of the camera, then you need lenses, each of which is single more expensive than the camera itself."

Here are some solutions that save you a day long search on the net:
- Zeiss 16-70mm f / 4.0: 900 €
- Sony SEL-Sonnar T * 55F18Z FE 55mm F1.8: 850 Euro
- Sony SEL 50F18B 50mm f / 1.8 250 EUR
- Zeiss Touit 32mm f / 1.8 (equivalent to 50mm f / 2.8): 700 Euro (without stabilizer)
- Novoflex NEX / NIK to connect Nikon lenses: about 168 euros (manual control)
etc.
On the other hand, but you can also growers inexpensive lenses from Sigma or Tamron, the course does not have the top quality and not all ausreizen what the Alpha 6000 can.
eg the "always on it" Sigma 18-250 mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro HSM for about 350 euros. But you have to get a "good" copy and then the question arises in 1 "always top-lens" the entry or standard class but whether it would not make more sense than buying a bridge camera.
and as you get to the Sony RX10 with permanently installed Zeiss 24-200mm f / 2.8 for rd.950 Euro or the very compact X100 II for around 540 Euro.

What I mean to say:
Once you have decided for the Alpha 6000, you should be consistent and buy matching lentils and is expensive!
If you do not rearming for financial or other reasons, then you have in effect nothing more than having a RX100 MII, which is much more compact and less expensive, however. The 3.6x zoom is not rekordverdächig but clean and will bring more than you think! and sensor cleaning is not an issue in.

The fact remains that the Alpha 6000 for the price is a 5 stars camera.
But if you marry, you marry a family and buying a camera, I buy a complete system.!

Saeco halt, really expensive. Rank: 3/5
