Much more than a gadget ...

In search of a system of walkie talkie communicate permettantd e PMR446 mode, I turned to the GT3 rather than strictly PMR products offered also for 3 reasons:
1 / The price / opportunities strongly supports the GT3
2 / very extensive possibilities of the GT3 by PMR terminals
3 / Despite perfect compatibility with the PRM 446 (however, for a little time to spend in setting)

First impressions:
The product ext compact, lightweight and easily transportable. However, it gives an impression of good build quality and robustness. The scope of supply is complete and allows for quick start. The instruction is in "google translate French"; it is better to rely on the manual in English.

Most:
In addition to covering PMR 446 I was looking, the device offers a wide coverage of VHF and UHF ranges. The dual mode allows you to stay permanently aware of two frequencies which can be useful (a PMR frequency to communicate with his band and VHF frequency of relief listen simultaneously). Programming is easy and MAY INVOLVE efaire directly on the device without having to link computer (it is however long and tedious)
Autonomy as the overall performance is good
Perfect compatibility PMR 446 (including CTCSS) and VHF marine

Cons:
The product is not a "ready to use" and asks to spend a little time to program its channels as well as taking into account the regulations in order not to do anything (because you can not use as we want the UHF and VHF frequencies).
In PMR 446, the device goes far above the regulatory limits (removable antenna, transmit power, ...): it is therefore the responsibility of the user to make good use.

Appraisal:
I am pleased with this purchase plainement. It responds to what I expected on the PMR while offering me lots of other possibilities. It fits perfectly in an existing PMR and cheap system for bulk orders make it an ideal product to be a PMR communications system.
